Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui

My husband and I just returned from a fabulous seven night stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani. This was our first stay at a luxury resort in Wailea, in the past we typically booked a beach condo, so we were very much looking forward to a relaxing week of doing pretty much nothing ;) The Fairmont does deliver relaxation and comfort! We enjoyed all of the pool areas, lounge chair areas (lots of places to lounge with various views of the ocean, lovely grounds or pool). The chairs and umbrellas at the beach were great too, although it would be nice if the lounge chairs were refurbished or replaced. Otherwise , hard to complain about napping on the beach with the lull of waves at your feet. We stayed in an ocean view room, overlooking the adult pool. Lovely views of the hotel grounds and ocean. That sunset can be blinding though! Don't forget your sunglasses... Unfortunately, we missed the grand re-opening of Ko restaurant by a few days, but they were putting finishing touches on the decor and it looks really great, Once that opens again, it will really add to the dining options. Pilina is a great spot for drinks and bites, especially during sunset. We actually preferred sitting at the bar a little later in the evening with the live music. Very upscale and chill. We really enjoyed a few evenings at the bar at Nick's, great bartenders and food! The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Housekeeping was the best I've ever experienced, what a great team! Actually all of the staff were attentive and friendly, which made our week even more pleasant. We only have a few criticisms. One is regarding the fridge in the room. It doesn't have a temperature control, so almost everything we put in it would end up half frozen. The other negative is really outdated wifi and TV tech, which caused a few headaches. If you were staying for a work trip, it would probably be a bigger challenge. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Fairmont Kea Lani. It's expensive, but you know that when you book, but sometimes you just need to treat yourself! We are very much looking forward to our next visit! Aloha!

Wonderful stay here. Everything from the friendliness of the staff to the stunning grounds to the amenities and restaurant options made this hotel first class. What I think is vastly underappreciated is the panoply of extracurricular activities offered by the hotel. The canoe experience was phenomenal (we had Ralph). The stargazing session with Mike was a memory I’ll cherish forever…incredible knowledge and affability in showing us the stars and clouds (we saw Saturn with the rings!). Also had a great culturally educational experience with the ukulele lesson and lei making lesson. Would highly recommend.

Fairmont Kea Lani Maui has to be one of the best resorts I have ever stayed at! From the moment we arrived at valet, we were greeted with a warm “Aloha,” fresh leis, a cold drink, and a chilled towel to cool off—what a welcome! Check-in with Luke at the front desk was fantastic. I asked about the possibility of an upgrade, and he made it happen—giving us the room of my dreams, a corner Kilohana Suite with the most amazing views. A special thank you to Kris at the breakfast buffet. Every morning he remembered exactly what we liked—my wife’s Coke and my coffee—such a thoughtful touch that made us feel truly cared for. Our housekeeper, Irene, was also so kind and pleasant, making our stay feel like home. From room service to pool service, every detail and every interaction went above and beyond. Thank you, Fairmont Kea Lani Maui, for an unforgettable experience! ✨

Wow, wow, wow! I’ve been to Maui several times, but this trip was hands-down my favorite—all thanks to the Fairmont Kea Lani. The suites and resort grounds are stunning, but what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. Don’t miss the breakfast buffet, and be sure to stroll down to the beach for the most breathtaking sunsets. Every moment here feels like a dream. A special shoutout to Chris and Chris at Pilina—their warmth and cocktail expertise made us stop by every night just to say hello. You can genuinely feel the joy from the entire staff; it’s clear they love what they do. I can’t wait to make this an annual tradition. ✨

Terrific 5 night stay at the best Wailea hotel . It was a number of years since We were back and wow were we impressed. We loved the adult pool, beach , activities, beach walk, housekeeping and breakfast buffet . Ko was closed so we ventured out to the 4 Seasons and had dinner at Ferraro s, Monkeypod, Ka’ana Kitchen plus ate sushi at Pilana . We also took the free hotel shuttle to Island Gourmet which had FANTASTIC poke bowls . We loaded up on wine and beer here as well . We didn’t have a car but would look at renting a car for a day trip next time to Paia ( and stay for 2 nights longer) . We wanted to thank Reena the food and beverage manager for remembering our names and making us feel so special . This is truly a magical place which left a huge impression on us.

Beautiful hotel and great location! Rooms are spacious suites with large lanai’s. Great housekeeping with nightly turndown service. This place is first class! Great service as well as towel service at valet when you go on exploring or excursions. Close to shopping and restaurants although they have great dining on site.
