TRAVELODGE YORK CENTRAL LAYERTHORPE

The room was much smaller than it looked in the pictures. There was a dirty pair of boxers shorts on the chair. They didn’t supply bedding for the single bed had to sleep in the cold for one night until I got some bedding the second day. I reported th dirty underwear to the receptionist who just shrugged. Was kept awake by the occupants of the room above who were jumping on the floor. I reported it but it didn’t stop

The staff is friending and happy to help The location is quite good too, walk for 10 min and you will arrive at the York city centre You can start the city wall walk not far from the hotel

Great hotel with a short walk into centre of York. Costa and Asda nearby. Free parking too. Would highly recommend. Good bar on site and can get meals as well as Pizza late into night. We didn’t try any other meals besides breakfast which was always excellent. Lovely staff as well.

Hotel was spotless but there was no place to put your clothes. I have never been to any place that doesn't make your bed. On the whole it was value for money

Overnight stay; fabulous location, 10 min walk into city, right by the wall, free parking.

The room was very clean and comfortable,the hotel was just a short walk into town and easy to get back to after an evening in the town, would recommend it.

The staff in reception & at breakfast were efficient & friendly. Free WiFi was for 30 minutes within 24 hours. Did not provide a toilet brush in the bathroom. When asked the reply was ring the reception & someone will pop in to clean the toilet! I had a quiet room in the first floor with a view facing the river. Surprised there was no chest of drawers or shelves to put my clothes. I had to leave it in my suitcase. It would be rather inconvenient for guests staying more than 2 nights. The desk lamp didn’t work. Didn’t see any hair drier in the room.
