Beautiful stay! The hotel is aesthetically stunning. My room had a beautiful view, with lovely touches to make you feel at home. The pantry is something else and the staff in all areas of the hotel (reception, bar, restaurant, cleaners) offer superb service - warm, welcoming and attentive.

Another lovely solo stay at No 1 for my birthday. This was my fourth visit and I’ve stayed in a different room each time - all are lovely and staff are very welcoming and helpful

A solid 3 star experience but not more than that. They say they offer bike courier pick up for your luggage from the train station, but I didn't get sent any information about how to book it, every time I tried to call I couldn't get through to a human, and when I eventually found an email address to contact about it, no one replied. We were put in a room on the very top floor right after the heat wave, the temperature up there was still so warm, could feel it going up in as we ascended the stairs, but I couldn't open the window in the room very much without bugs flying in. They provided a small fan but it didn't do much. Our room was cramped, not really anywhere to store your luggage and the bathroom's only surface space to put your things was a ledge above the toilet which I didn't like. On the other hand, all the people we spoke to at reception were friendly and helpful, the location was convenient and the pantry was appreciated.
