Family visit to Poble Español 🇪🇸

How about if you could visit all of Spain in only 1 day? That’s exactly what you can do at Poble Español! A small theme park type of village sitting at the side on the Montjuic mountain, in Barcelona. In Poble Español the different architecture style of various areas in Spain are showcased next to each other. Here you can experience from a typical Andalusian patio to the mountain-style religious constructions of the Pyrenees mountains. And despite it being located in such a tourist-ridden city, the place still offers a great deal of quiet and calm moments to relax while enjoying some of Spain historical sites. #timetotravel

I was really shocked by the fantastic architecture in Barcelona!

I was really shocked by the fantastic architecture in Barcelona!

Barcelona Spain·Barcelona Barcelona is located in the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula. It is the capital of the autonomous region of Catalonia in Spain and the "second largest city" in Spain. Known as the "Pearl of the Iberian Peninsula" Not only does it have breathtaking buildings, but it also has a vibrant cultural life and pleasant coastal scenery, making it a destination for many tourists. Passeig de Gràcia - the intersection of art and fashion. This is the main shopping street in Barcelona. Strolling on this wide avenue, you can enjoy exquisite street art performances. Casa Batlló is like a creature made of bones and scales. It is a rare artistic treasure in this city. There are also fantastic architectural lines such as the Sagrada Familia and Casa Milà, which make me unable to get out.

First solo trip

First solo trip

Went head first into my solo trip to Barcelona (so fun I went back a couple of months later to finish off bits I didn’t see) Stunning architecture that you get lost in, the gothic quarter is so cute with lots of winding small streets (obviously people say there is risk there however I didn’t encounter any problems) The food market in the Ramblas is very busy but there were so many wonderful varied food stands you could easily spend a lot in there. The beach is beautiful but walking into the water can be a bit uncomfortable underfoot just to bear in mind. Stayed at the Hotel Axel Two which was a good location, but slightly further down the city. Though it wasn’t far from The Example area which was being renovated to be more pedestrianised and has beautiful places to eat.

So Amazing Casa Mila

#familytrips2024 Casa Mila, built in 1906, is a residential building with an avant-garde appearance. SOOOO AMAZING!!! This was a highlight of our trip. As one of the landmarks of Barcelona, this is a must-visit place. It is beautiful inside out and the audio guide will tell you everything about all of the other Gaudi’s masterpieces as well. The architecture is amazing. Gaudi’s models in the attic portion of the tour seemed quite visionary and ahead of his time. The tour leads to the open rooftop with panoramic views of the city that are stunning. The sculptures of the chimney tops and vents looked like knights guarding a castle, which was Gaudi's intent. Our dream destination for our family trip is China as it's rich history, diverse culture, stunning landscapes, and delicious cuisine make it a captivating place to visit. #spain #barcelona
