The Route 35 tram in downtown Melbourne

The Route 35 tram in downtown Melbourne

The Route 35 tram circles the most central area of downtown Melbourne, offering free rides to citizens and tourists. There are stops at all the important sights and landmark buildings, making it convenient for passengers to get on and off. The hotel we stayed at was not far from a stop, and it was very convenient to take the tram for a spin. Along the way, there were several open parks of various sizes, with lush trees and green lawns. The little house with a TV station doing a program, known as 'Captain Cook's Cottage', is presumably one of the captains of the first few British ships that came to the Australian continent. In the center of the park, there is a small old building, an indoor garden, where the flowers bloom large and bright. Taking the Route 35 tram, we visited the State Library of Melbourne in the city center. It's also a place worth seeing. After visiting the library, we had coffee at the café by Door 2, took a short rest, and even took a photo with the friendly waiter. Wandering around the library area was quite interesting too.

Melbourne Park|day-2 citywalk

The city gardens in Melbourne are too suitable for lying flat and dazing🥹🥹 Temporarily away from the hustle and bustle in the city, immersed in the lush nature, come here to lie flat and recharge after work, staring at the quiet lake or blooming colorful flowers, enjoying a moment of peace and tranquility🌹 ❀No admission fee, the city garden can be reached directly by public transportation in the city❀ 🌻Carlton Gardens (Carlton Gardens) (Pictures 1-4) This heritage-listed park is a very popular picnic spot! Behind it is the Royal Exhibition Building and the fountain, super photogenic~ 🎫Free 📍1-111 Carlton Street, Carlton, Victoria, 3053 🚶‍♀️About 30 minutes walk from Fitzroy to CBD 🌳Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne (Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne) (Pictures 5-8) The place with the densest variety of plants in the city of Melbourne! Melbourne D4 citywalk

Melbourne D4 citywalk

Today, start from La Trobe Street, take Route 35 (every 12 minutes, clockwise, ends at 5pm, with maps on board, old-fashioned decor). Pass Flagstaff Gardens, Old Melbourne Gaol, Carlton Gardens (very beautiful, the building behind is the Exhibition Hall, and behind that is the Melbourne Museum), continue on Route 35 for 2 stops to Parliament Station, where there are free 45-minute guided tours on weekdays, limited to 25 people, you need to queue at the entrance in advance. Having just missed the 12pm tour, I continued on Route 35 for 2 stops to Flinders Street and got off at Federation Square (the tram passes Old Treasury Building and Treasury Gardens). Federation Square is right next to ACMI, which has exhibitions on light and shadow and the origins of film, worth a visit. Diagonally opposite is St Paul's Cathedral, and diagonally opposite that is Flinders Street Station. Due to time constraints, I took a quick tour of the cathedral and then headed back. I walked back to Parliament at 1:30pm, but still missed the 2pm tour, so I had to queue for the 3pm tour. Many people were taking wedding photos here. Security checks, passport registration, and bag storage start at 2:30pm. The front hall, the Parliament Chamber (one side represents the government, the other side the opposition), the rooftop Parliament Garden, the library (1861), the legal chamber, this nearly 1-hour tour is well worth it. Then take Route 109 to LUNE on Collins Street, card payment only, ordered an almond croissant, AUD 11.8, with almond syrup inside, quite delicious. Then walk to the NGV Australia next to Federation Square, the 2nd floor is Australian art, the 3rd floor is an exhibition of famous painters. A 5-minute walk takes you to Hoisier Lane graffiti street. Take Route 19 to Queen Victoria Market Station, this is the nearest free tram stop to the University of Melbourne, get off and continue walking 1 km, in about 10 minutes you will reach the University of Melbourne. Return to Flinders Street, have a steak, and wait for sunset. On Friday nights, there are concerts at Federation Square, very lively, from Princes Bridge you can see the Yarra River, on one side you can see the Australian Open venue, on the other side you can see Queen's Bridge, view Southbank, the night view is nice.

Fire Services Museum of Victoria 🔥✨

I had a great morning at the old Eastern Hill Fire Station, it's like a time capsule, and it totally fascinated me. 🫶🏻 The station has a few activities too. You can put on some old uniforms, there's a giftshop, interactive displays about the history of fire fighting in Melbourne etc. 👀 I learned things I did not know before. It’s such an extensive collection of memorabilia there are a number of items not kept on site as there is no room for everything! All the displays are diligently labelled and volunteer staff happy to chat and explain anything further. 🥰 Will take around 45 minutes to see and read everything. Had a great time here, really recommended 👍🏻✨ #wheretogo #bestplace #bestview #awesomepic #mytripvlog #celebratewithtrip #best_trip_by_trip #bestplace #recommended #besttimeever #bestdeal #awesometrip #tripcom

Serenity in Bloom: The Conservatory's Hidden Charm 🇦🇺

#australiatrip Tucked away in Fitzroy Gardens, The Conservatory is a tranquil oasis in Melbourne's heart. As I stepped inside, I was enveloped by lush greenery and vibrant blooms. The stunning Victorian-era glasshouse is a masterpiece, with its intricate details and soft natural light. The variety of plants and flowers on display is impressive, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal escape from the city's hustle and bustle. A must-visit for nature lovers and those seeking serenity. My rating: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!

Iconic Stadium In Melbourne

#melbournetrip The guided tour of the MCG and the museum is a must while you are in Melbourne. The tour takes around an hour and you get to see most of the interesting parts of the ground - players box, media boxes, long room etc. Lots of history and the guides are very knowledgeable. The museum is more of a kids activity centre with some exhibits. MSG is brilliant stadium that has been host to Olympic and commonwealth games as well as large scale concerts and the best arena for AFL.It also host some soccer game when big clubs from premier leagues visit for pre season friendly. Well signed, adequate transport options available and accessible friendly. Would recommend the tour for $33.
