The service was super quick, we were seated immediately and orders were taken quickly despite them being very busy. I ordered the Picnic on a plate set and my friend ordered the smashed avocado. Both were very tasty. Mine didn’t need the wasabi mayo as the other ingredients were juicy but I would’ve liked more of the hash. I also thought I could see too much of my plate and not enough food, and, their prices have gone up again which is a shame. Had it not been for the price, this would be a brilliant spot. #newzealandtrip #thingstodo

Staff was quite pleasant and food was good. I really enjoyed my beef burger and everyone else at my table enjoyed their meal too. The food is very professionally done, even on a busy Saturday morning we waited less than 20 min for our food. The coffee's pretty good, and the venue is nice and cosy. I got the club sandwich, which was way bigger than I expected (a pleasant surprise) while the missus got the broccoli soup, which was special at the time. Great to have this little gem in Miramar. #newzealandtrip #couplestrip #thingstodo

The beautiful interior remains timeless and well kept, always clean and fresh. Good use of space ensures big groups can feel cozy while avoiding any feeling of clutter. Busy staff make for quick and friendly service. Walk-ins are preferred so don’t be deterred if you can’t book online. Not a massive cafe, but seemed to be a reasonable turnover of tables. On a sunny day, most people were seated outside. I’d imagine this would be nice and sheltered during a typical windy Wellington day, although we struck a rare still morning. You’ll most likely get a seat within 10 minutes of arrival. Plus, they’re open on public holidays and without a surcharge! #newzealandtrip #travel #couplestrip

Healthy options

Small and nice cafe with friendly staff working there. Superb menu that's been cleverly thought out to ensure the uninitiated aren't intimidated, but that healthier are properly catered to. Even in the morning it's packed with people having mornibg coffee and breakfast. I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere and their service and I think I will visit there again when given chances. The cabinet treats and select your own salads are sure to make for the perfect choice for someone. If only passing through, grab a smoothie that will make all your insides feel good. #newzealandtrip #localfood #bestcafes

What a beautiful restaurant this is...Loved the interior decor of the restaurant with the unique lighting, floral features and tiling. The food and wine was divine. As a starter we the oysters, cheese doughnut and the tempura salted zucchini - all very uniquely made and so tasty. For mains we had the venison ragu and smoked duck breast - both amazing. For desserts we the coconut fromage and dark chocolate torte - also all divine. Overall, this is a restaurant that must be tried atleast once when in wellington. #newzealandtrip #travel

High quality food

Not only is the place very presentable but they do some professional cooking here. I found the food to be absolutely delicious and impeccably prepared. Our waitress was very attentive, friendly and helpful. She couldn't have been any more so! The menu is geared around sharing with the table which was fun. Loretta is very well worth a visit if you're looking for great food and a great dining experience in the central city. #newzealandtrip #familytravel

Aro cafe looks great. Inside is very clean and well presented, and the outdoor garden is very nice, with murals and lights. Could be a good venue. Only feedback to the team is to clear tables more frequently, as there were a couple unattended and I see past reviews speak on this as well. Good atmosphere. Their vegetarian meals are so nice. Also it's also a really good place to just in and have a beer. They have a really nice outside sitting area which is nice in the summer time to sit in. #newzealandtrip #localfood

homely spot

A quirky and cosy cafe, central to everything but not encroached on by the hustle and bustle of the centre of town. Reliably good (though expensive) coffee - Havana beans, though the food is the real star here. The menu changes daily and you will need to inspect the counter to see what is available. There's a good variety of sandwiches, muffins, cakes, samosas, cookies, salads, filos and other sweet or savoury items, made on premises to unique recipes. The gluten free/dairy free/vegan options are clearly labelled and the prices are quite reasonable. #newzealandtrip #couplestrip #coffeelovers

Coffee was at a good drinking temperature as well. I enjoyed the mood this place had. Located in old warehouse totally redecorated. The food is really good. I highly recommend to try the poached egg on a danish rye. I've been a few times over the past few weeks and there's always a hum and bustle of positive energy and relaxation. The staff are very, very good. Missing a meal or coffee here during a visit would be sacrilegious. #newzealandtrip #travel #thingstodo
