Male transit area This transit area has been expanded and there are more souvenir shops than before. In Male, the majority of their goods are imported so you will not find much on local produce. However, their handicrafts are exquisite and you can always buy their crafted soaps for memories too. However, I find that you can buy nicer craft soaps from Bangkok at a cheaper price. Having said that, you can buy those Made in Maldives souvenirs to commeratote your visit to Maldives. I find their ocean animals' soft toys are worth buying. Our experience was beyond imagination. We used the resort’s facilities fully. Our experience with food, drinks, and the massage and relaxation facilities was very good. Above that is the staff team from reception and farewell at the airport, and the quality of the materials used in the resort is very high-end. I thank the resort management for this hospitality and we will repeat the visit next time.

Come for a vacation🧩|||Maldives, every day surrounded by clear waters and soft sandy beaches, having so much fun. At this moment, taking a seaplane to Malé, the end of this trip is inevitably a little disappointing, but my heart is full of memories. I'll soon be transferring from Malé back to Shanghai, carrying the sea breeze and warm sunshine of the Maldives, and heading to the next stage of life. It seems that the stay in Malé is only a short one. Although I didn't explore Malé in depth, I should have felt the different atmosphere of this city.

Blue Skies With A Floating Breakfast.

Recently I went to visit the Maldives and wow, what can I say.. Every corner of the resort I stayed at just served up the most amazing scenery. Having a floating breakfast on the private pool under the sun with blue waters everywhere was just something else. Very picturesque. The food option offered could have been better, but the experience of it all made up for it. Can't wait to go back!

Male Burger King You will be berry surprise at their inflated prices here at Male Burger King. All prices are in USD and there is always a long queue at Burger King. There are more westerners here compared to Asians so the probability of them having fast food is also higher. Most travellers in Male will arrive at Male airport early for their flights. This is also because of their connecting seaplane/domestic flights. So the airport is always busy. You can buy Burger King from the landside and airside after you check in too. It will be inside the transit area and it is easy to find. Experience a Six-Star Maldives Island

As a series of islands built as an extension of CROSSROADS Maldives, I had my eye on it last year before it officially opened. After its official opening in April this year, I couldn't wait to experience it firsthand~ 🏨: SO/ Maldives Maldives🇲🇻: It's only a 15-minute speedboat ride from Malé Airport. Or, like me, you can experience three islands for next to nothing, starting from the Hard Rock Hotel at CROSSROADS Maldives and then taking a quick 5-minute transfer to SO/ Maldives. It's incredibly convenient. I stayed in an overwater villa, starting from 120m², with an open-plan design that creates a spacious feel. It's fully equipped with an outdoor net bed, sofa, and pool. The lagoon area accessible by ladder is quite shallow (about waist-deep for someone 1.6m tall), and there's a large shallow area nearby where a sandbar emerges in the early morning. It's truly wonderful. Dining: There aren't many restaurants on the island, only three: 1. Hadaba: Located right at the pier, it mainly serves Middle Eastern cuisine. Hmm, I wasn't used to the food, though a few dishes were quite good. 2. The Citronelle Club: My favorite restaurant, where I ate 80% of the time. Many dishes were surprisingly delicious, especially their Fujian Fried Rice – highly recommended!! 3. Lazuli Beach Club: I didn't have a proper meal here, but it's a nice place to relax by the main pool. SPA: It was arguably the most comfortable massage of my life.😍

Maldive from the sky

The only way to see all the single atolls , this magic postcard from the sky to take a piece of Maldive with you for the rest of your live. Magic moment flight from male airport to all the jewels: north of Male , South of Male , ari atoll , baa Atoll etc ... I suggest to everybody to make at least once in the live . The price about usd 500 return. This sea plane is only enough to accommodate about 15 people. However, I recommend traveling by sea plane if the weather is sunny. There are other options if you are traveling when it is raining or the weather is not good. That is, you can use domestic flights with Boeing aircraft. But transmaldivian (seaplane) terminal with domestic flight is not far from the terminal. I recommend you to book flight during morning around 7 am or in the afternoon around 4 pm. My fellow travel enthusiasts, as a seasoned traveler who has explored countless destinations and stayed in various hotels, I can confidently say that my experience at the Maldives SO/ Hotel ranks among my top three travel experiences! 🎈Arrival and Check-In As the speedboat from Malé sped towards the hotel, the Indian Ocean breeze carried the scent of the sea, and the stunning scenery along the way filled me with anticipation for the journey ahead. Upon arrival, the staff warmly welcomed us, and the check-in process was efficient and thoughtful. We were also offered refreshing welcome drinks, instantly dispelling any travel fatigue. 🏝️Room Experience My overwater villa was simply breathtaking! Stepping inside, the spacious and bright room instantly lifted my spirits. The room's decor seamlessly blended modern style with island charm, featuring wooden floors and soft bedding, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The large floor-to-ceiling windows offered a direct view of the endless ocean. Lying on the bed, the azure waters and pristine white clouds came into view, resembling a magnificent painting. The private terrace's infinity pool was crystal clear, perfect for a refreshing swim at any time. I could also descend the ladder directly into the sea for snorkeling, encountering the wonders of the underwater world. 🍱Dining Experience The hotel's cuisine was a true feast for the senses! The breakfast was rich and varied, with fresh, sweet, and juicy tropical fruits, freshly baked bread with an irresistible aroma, and local snacks that captured the essence of the island. Dinner was enjoyed at the beachfront restaurant, accompanied by the gentle lapping of waves against the shore, savoring delicious seafood. The lobster, crab, and other ingredients were fresh, prepared with unique culinary techniques that preserved their original flavors, making every bite a delight. In addition to local cuisine, there were also dishes that blended flavors from around the world, catering to diverse palates. 🏄‍♀️Recreation and Leisure This is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts! I tried snorkeling, donning the gear and following the instructor into the depths of the sea. Colorful coral reefs and schools of tropical fish surrounded me, creating a dreamlike underwater world. Even if you can't swim, the patient guidance of the instructors ensures a safe and enjoyable experience. You can also try thrilling windsurfing and surfing, experiencing the speed and excitement of the ocean. After a day of fun, relax on the beach and soak up the sun, or indulge in a soothing massage at the spa. 💁‍♂️Service Details The hotel's service was impeccable! The staff were enthusiastic and professional, providing warm and attentive service, whether it was assisting with activity bookings or attending to our needs during meals. Once, when I felt unwell, the staff thoughtfully brought me medicine and a hot drink, showing genuine care. Of course, the hotel has minor drawbacks. During peak season, there are more tourists, and the beach and public areas can get a bit crowded. However, this doesn't diminish my fondness for the hotel. The Maldives SO/ Hotel truly fulfilled all my fantasies about an island vacation. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Sunset at Jetty

Male jetty A beautiful place to admire the maldvian sunset for free. This jetty is where you can take a 1 usd boat ride to male island and also take the resorts’ speedboat to the resorts. There are plenty of seats around for passengers. It is an outdoor area but it is always windy so you won't feel so hot. There is also a coffee bar at the corner and you can just buy a coffee, sit down and relax at the jetty. I will recommend you to take a leisure walk along the jetty and you can spot all types of speedboats coming in to ferry their guests. Some of the speedboats are huge.
