MakLang by Ilham Ceramic: Laksa & Pottery

Langkawi has definitely changed a lot, for the better, of course. I am amazed that there's this place called MakLang by Ilham Ceramic , located in Kampung Bendang Baru which also provides pottery workshops and classes to their patrons. Currently the pottery class is taking a break as they are lack of staff since one of their teachers left. But once they have a new teacher, the classes shall resume! I look forward to this, for sure! They still produce potteries like plates, cups and pots to sell in their humble shop, alongside with other handicraft products. You can still enjoy their delicious traditional delicacies everyday, except Friday (8am to 6pm). They serve 7 kinds of laksa namely laksa biasa, laksa telur goreng, laksa isi ketam, laksa udang, laksa sambal sotong, laksa kepah and laksa campur. There are rice dishes too like nasi lemak, nasi sambal petai and others. They are also famous for their cucur udang for they sold out very quickly. I'm sure that I will come back for more when I travel to Langkawi next. Hopefully by then, their pottery class reopens. #freehotelstay

honeymoon at Royale Chenang❤️

The staff was amazing! They were attentive and helpful. The breakfast was simple with some local choices, cereal, toast and you can get an omelette made. There's a beach 10 mins walking distance away, a few restaurants and a mini market but you'll have to walk a bit to get to Cenang which is fine cause if you're looking to stay near Cenang beach but not so close to all the noise then this is the place for you. I'd definitely stay there again when visiting Langkawi. Service : 5/5 star Location 4/5 star #couplestrip #awesomepic

Dataran Lang, Photo Op with Huge Eagle Monument

#traveldiaries Dataran Lang, also known as Eagle Square, is one of Langkawi’s most iconic landmarks. Located near the Kuah Jetty, the square features a massive eagle statue poised as if ready to take flight, symbolizing Langkawi’s name, which means "eagle" in Malay. The area offers beautiful views of the sea and surrounding islands, making it a great spot for a leisurely stroll and photography, especially during sunrise or sunset. With its open space, fountains, and scenic backdrop, Dataran Lang is a must-visit for those wanting to capture the essence of Langkawi.

great view

The boutique has an attached cafe by the name of Heehee. And surprisingly, the price is not expensive and very reasonable for such a good location and view. We ordered a few drinks and desserts, all of which were well chosen. They also sell some peripheral products for you to walk around and take a look. It is also suitable for taking photos and checking in. The service is also five-star very patient to recommend some special drinks, and I also brought back a small souvenir, which is a package containing a few coffee beans #malaysiatrip #familytravel

A very local delicacy, Laksa Ikan Sekoq at Langkawi

#traveldiaries We wanted to try something local, so we stopped by at one of the stall by the airport called Laksa Kaw Ikan Sekoq. We ordered to bowls of Laksa and one plate of cucur (prawn fritters). The laksa is really having a full taste of fish, and the additional full fish adds the flavous onto it. The prawn fritters is also very soft and crispy and is very delicious eating it with peanut sauce. Then we see a convoy of motorcyclist stopping by and have their laksa as well. This is a very good experience and I will do it again.
