Los Angeles - Nordic-style Arrowhead Lake

Los Angeles - Nordic-style Arrowhead Lake

Near Los Angeles - Lake Arrowhead Arrowhead Lake Resort is really beautiful, with all the buildings in Nordic style. It feels like being in a small Europe. We went up the mountain only after the snow stopped, so we didn't need any iron chains. The scenery along the way was breathtaking, much closer to Big Bear Lake and the road was easy to drive. We plan to go back and play in a few days. Los Angeles is a great place. In winter, you can go surfing half an hour to the west, and skiing one hour to the east.

Unique 'Sky Film Museum' - A Must-Visit for Movie Fans

Unique 'Sky Film Museum' - A Must-Visit for Movie Fans

For movie buffs and architecture enthusiasts, this museum is an absolute must-visit! As a long-time resident of Los Angeles, I always felt like I hadn't taken a good look at it whenever I passed by, until recently when I accompanied some guests for a visit. I was instantly blown away - no wonder it's one of the world's top film museums! This is the first major film art museum in the United States, and all exhibits come from the Oscar Academy's collection, including over 12.5 million photographs, 237,000 film clips, 85,000 screenplays, 133,000 pieces of film art, and various large movie props. Even more impressive is that the museum was designed by the master architect Renzo Piano, making it a must-visit for both movie lovers and architecture fans! 🎥 Museum Name: Academy Museum of Motion Pictures 🗺️ Address: 6067 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036 🅿️ Parking: Metered street parking available across the street 💵 Admission: $25 per person ⏰ Hours: 10am-6pm 📩 This spherical building looks like a dream scene from a sci-fi movie, standing next to the new film academy in Los Angeles. Inside, there are four floors of exhibition space, a 1,000-seat David Geffen Theater, and the Dolby Family Terrace with stunning views of the Hollywood sign! Exhibition Layout: First Floor: Stories of Cinema and Black Cinema Third Floor: Directors' Inspiration Fourth Floor: The Art of Moviemaking Fifth Floor: Circular rooftop platform, perfect for photos📸 It's recommended to set aside about 3 to 4 hours to fully appreciate the comprehensive displays of film history, Oscar history, film music, costumes, special effects, film production processes, and director stories. This is truly a film museum that you won't want to leave! Additionally, there are also the Automobile Museum and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) nearby, which are worth exploring if you're interested.

Old Los Angeles Zoo

#losangeles Nice place with lots of green areas and interesting infrastructure. Perfect to explore with family and friends. The hikes around are not too hard but make sure to bring your phone if you’re going off the big paths so that you don’t get lost. There are many animals like rabbits, snakes and birds so be careful and walk with a stick if you’re going off the paths. Super busy on Sundays. It was pretty fun. The abandoned cages are super fun to explore.

FiddleHeadp Coffee

Being able to sit bar side for coffee is already a huge plus. I enjoyed speaking with the baristas yesterday, it’s always fun to learn something that most wouldn’t know about the spot. Overall the space was very welcoming and to top it off, they had my two favorite drinks combined into one. It was unsweetened too so you know they do it right and goodp. For this one I’d say convenience is key. Besides the main chains, it is one of the only local shops in the Bloomington area. On top of that being basically right on top of Bloomington Station makes it an excellent spot for a layover for those who ride the blue line. #christmasgiveaway #mapletrees #luxuryhotel #skiing #nationalpark
