There were four of us, but the antipasto for two was more than enough! And it was absolutely amazing. What really blew me away was the tuna tartare. It was seasoned very simply, letting the natural flavors shine through, and they even mixed in some toro (fatty tuna)—it was incredibly delicious. I was in absolute heaven eating it. For the paella, we went with the traditional option. It was the perfect amount for the four of us to share. Packed with seafood and super satisfying! The lemon sorbet was light and refreshing! I booked a 12:00 PM slot in June and almost got heatstroke because it was so hot. Heat protection is absolutely essential! Luckily, there was a drinking water fountain, so I wet my hat and clothes to cool down as the water evaporated. The famous dragon (or lizard?) is located near the exit. There are free restrooms on the premises. I found them near the entrance and under the stairs by the dragon. ⚫︎ Palau de la Música Catalana Visiting hours are quite short, so make sure to go early. It wasn't designed by Gaudí, but it's beautiful, and it's a great place to take a break in the cool air conditioning. I was able to buy a ticket on the same day. There are free restrooms inside the building. ⚫︎ Carrefour A supermarket near the Palau de la Música Catalana. It's spacious and has a great selection of souvenirs. We arrived late, and to avoid any risk, we booked a transfer to the hotel. It wasn't a bad hotel, a well-known chain, the Ibis Paris Eiffel Tower Cambronne 15th. In the morning, we headed to the most crime-ridden spot in Paris: the Eiffel Tower. I was prepared, I barely took my phone out, it has a wrist strap, so if they snatch it, it'll be gone with my hand. 😂 But my backpack with money and documents was still on my back; my faith in people never leaves me. 😉 By midday, having not encountered a single pickpocket, I relaxed a bit and was already walking around with my phone, taking selfies, and with my whole appearance inviting all the criminal elements of Paris to come to my aid. 😂 For four days, including a trip to Disneyland, I still had all my things with me, including after the metro! After Paris, we headed to Barcelona! Barcelona is a whole other story, and I was already prepared. 😂 But I still had my phone in my hands and my backpack on my back! Vera😎 3 days and everything was back with me, we were on our way. We flew to Milan and took the train to the hotel, through train stations and crowds of people. We walked to the UNA Hotels Century Milano. It's conveniently located near the train station, so I'm walking on thin ice. 😂 We visited Piazza del Duomo. The next day, we took the train to Rome. Once again, risking our wallets and phones, we headed to the train station.

📍 La Flauta, Barcelona, Spain ✨ Review Barcelona is full of tapas restaurants, but La Flauta was the one that completely exceeded my expectations😋 The place was packed with locals and tourists alike, so I knew it had to be good. After the first bite, I understood exactly why. Every dish tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. From the crispy croquettes and grilled seafood to the perfectly cooked steak and famous sandwiches, everything we ordered disappeared within minutes. What impressed me the most was that there wasn’t a single disappointing dish✨ Instead of trying to be overly fancy, each plate focused on quality ingredients and simple cooking, letting the flavors speak for themselves. The atmosphere was lively and energetic🍷 You could hear conversations, laughter, and plates constantly coming out of the open kitchen, making the whole dining experience feel like an authentic Barcelona local restaurant rather than a tourist spot. Yes, you might have to wait during peak hours😅 But honestly, after finishing the meal, I felt the wait was completely worth it. The prices were also very reasonable considering the quality and generous portions. La Paradeta ⭐ My Pick 📍 Address: Carrer Comercial, 7, 08003 Barcelona This is the spot I kept wanting to go back to. La Paradeta operates on a unique concept: first, you pick your fresh seafood right from an ice display, and then they cook it exactly how you like it—grilled, steamed, or fried. Everything is incredibly fresh, with no complicated sauces or unnecessary pretentiousness. I especially loved the king prawns, octopus, and mussels. This place perfectly proves that Barcelona's best food is often the simplest. 💭 My Tip If you want to sample several types of Spanish cuisine at once, head to El Nacional. For real-deal paella, go to Can Solé, and for the best tapas, hit up Cal Pep. If you're dreaming of world-class fine dining, be sure to book a table at Disfrutar. My personal favorite is La Paradeta. What I didn't expect was just how many of its best experiences were completely free. Some of my favourite memories weren't inside museums or paid attractions—they came from wandering colourful streets, watching the sunset by the sea, and discovering neighbourhoods full of life and character. If you're visiting Barcelona on a budget, you'll quickly realise that you don't have to spend much to fall in love with the city. Here are some of my favourite free things to do: 🏖️ Relax at Barceloneta Beach – Whether you fancy a swim, a walk along the promenade, or simply watching the waves, it's one of the best places to unwind. ⛪ Admire the exterior of the Sagrada Família – While going inside requires a ticket, seeing Gaudí's masterpiece from the outside is still an unforgettable experience. 🌳 Explore Park Güell's free areas – Although the Monumental Zone is ticketed, you can still enjoy parts of the park, scenic walking paths, and fantastic views without paying. 🎭 Wander through the Gothic Quarter – My favourite part of Barcelona.
