This charming town is filled with colourful buildings, beautiful alleys, cute little shops and cafes. You will be able to get stunning views of lake como with mountains around. It was about an hour train ride from Milan city and we had a relaxed and perfect day trip to Bellagio Town. It's the kind of spot where you can just sit back, enjoy the scenery, and soak up the Italian charm. Would definitely go back again.

If you’re doing just a whole day trip, you might reconsider staying the night at a hotel nearby or around Lake Como. 🏨Hotels around Bellagio are quite pricey but it’s worth the stay since you will have more time to explore the place. ⚠️ Please note that it can get really crowded during the peek hours so it’s recommended to see the view early in the morning. How to get there? 🤔 📍From Milan Central station, take regional train to Varena-Esiro station. 🚂 Then, walk about 10 minutes to ferry port Navigazione Lago di Como, take ferry to Bellagio which is about an hour. ⛴️ 📝option: 🚌 You can take the long distance bus which is quite near the ferry station. Lake Como is such a beautiful place. It is near the border ith Switzerland, very close, like 20-30 km. It is also near Milan, like 70 km. Very nice spot for a vacation. It is so peaceful. You can also spot houses owned by Holywood super stars. The lake is quite big and you can rent boats or you can drive on the road that surrounds the lake. Lake Como in Italy is the "heavenly garden left on earth by God". Surrounded by many beautiful and tranquil garden villas. Every scene is like a movie frame, full of atmosphere. When you see it with your own eyes, you will find that the real scenery is even more beautiful than the photos. Walking among the flowers, trees, lake and mountains, the mist lingers as if entering a dream that is too beautiful to be true. When the mind and body are completely relaxed, walking and strolling are extremely enjoyable. Every day, I hope life can be slower, even slower, because the earthly paradise is like this! If we could have our wedding here, it would be so romantic. Of course, staying for a while on a honeymoon is the perfect choice.

Spent 24 hours in Milan and Como! First time in Italy. Unfortunately missed out on a lot but Lake Como was absolutely beautiful! The views, the food..the people! I had food a lovely little restaurant called La Vita è Bella and can I say it tasted INCREDIBLE! I also stayed at Hotel Di Vinci…WOW. I’ve genuinely never seen a hotel like it, the artwork was amazing the room was spacious and just the design work was awesome! Very service minded reception. Nice touch that room calls are answered with the name of the guest. Accommodating and friendly. Offered a complimentary drink when room service took longer than expected (last evening before restaurant closing due to Covid restrictions). Superb breakfast!Very friendly staff, greeted with a glass of prosecco, check in was easy and quick and very helpful staff. Room was very spacious, very clean, stylish, we had a corner room with a city view. It was quiet and the bed was very comfortable and big. There are few places as romantic as Lake Como, and even fewer lakeside towns as charming as Bellagio. Called "the Pearl of Lake Como", Bellagio is a perfect destination for a relaxing vacation with pizzazz and enchanting panoramas. Bellagio is situated in a picturesque position on Lake Como, on the tip of the promontory which juts into the lake and separates it into two branches, with Como to the west and Lecco to the east. The town has always had an aristocratic dignity, and has drawn respite seekers for centuries. It has an elegant air yet with the water sports and mountain activities, is not a stuffy place, either. The most ancient part of Bellagio occupies that area at the end of the promontory and is known as 'the Borgo'. It is a pretty combination of stairways lined with colorful shops with the finest quality merchandise and excellent restaurants, little piazzas and sidewalk cafes. Numerous little characteristic hamlets are scattered both along the lake and the hilly slopes above the Borgo, and there are walking paths connecting them. Travelling from Venice to Lake Como in 3 days via Lake Garda. Day 1: Venice🌊🛶 Hotel🏨: Rialto Experience 5/10 Hotel in good location. The rooms decor wasn’t the best although if your looking for an affordable stay in Venice near all attractions then this hotel is a good choice. Activities 🍝🛶: Gondola ride 8/10 The main activity in Venice is a gondola ride through out the stunning canals although can be pricey but definitely a must when visiting Venice. We then took a train ride west across Italy and made our way towards Sirmione, Lake Garda. Day 2: Lake Garda 🏰💐 Hotel🏨: Hotel Eden 10/10 This hotel was our favourite through out our whole trip! From amazing views to modern decor this hotel exceeded all our expectations. Would definitely recommend. Activities🛥️: Boat trip/sight seeing 10/10 This stunning boat trip took us around the shores of Lake Garda, the views were breathtaking and the guide was also very informative. The magical streets of Sirmione and the Castello Scaligero made us fall in love with Lake Garda. We then continued our travels west through Milan and Varenna too our next destination in the beautiful Bellagio in Lake como. Day 3: Lake como🛥️🌊 Hotel🏨: Hotel Florence 8/10 This hotel was in a great location surrounded in stunning restaurants and a gorgeous view of Lake como. If we were on a higher floor on this hotel the views would’ve been even better.
