The honest truth❗️ France is super romantic, but I really don't recommend just showing up in September–October 😭 I've been to France 3 times and have made mistakes in every season! Let's start with the most honest conclusion: France is beautiful all year round, but September–October is an awkward period where it's easiest to feel "let down." Many people are lured by online photos of yellow sycamore leaves in Paris or the gentle autumn days in the South of France, only to feel emo the moment they land! No hype, no bashing—this post is based on the real experiences of an average traveler. If you're planning to head to France in the second half of the year, be sure to read this before you decide! 🇫🇷 🌟 Let's be fair: It's not that France is bad in September–October; it just "depends on the person." If you're a traveler who prefers slow travel, visiting artsy shops, wine tasting, and exploring old towns, these 2 months actually have unique advantages: ✅ Perfectly avoid the crowds and say goodbye to the summer rush July–August is peak season in France; the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Champs-Élysées, and Nice beaches are packed, and waiting in line for 2 hours to play for 10 minutes is the norm. Starting in September, tourist numbers drop off a cliff, and by October, it's fully in the off-season transition. You won't have to squeeze through crowds to visit museums, walk through old town streets, or stroll along the Seine. It's easy to take photos without people in them and enjoy an immersive, relaxed French vibe. ✅ Extremely comfortable temperatures, no more suffering from scorching heat The South of France in midsummer can be unbearably hot, with temperatures over 35℃+. You'll be sweating and your makeup will melt within 5 minutes of going out, making it impossible to properly explore towns or hike to see the scenery. In September–October, the average temperature is 12–24℃. It's not stuffy or dry, and the sunlight is gentle and soft. It's the peak season for French-style outfits—trench coats, knitwear, and suits look amazing in photos—and it's super comfortable for walking and shopping. ✅ Beautiful autumn filter, maximum city gentleness Starting in late September, the sycamore trees along the streets of Paris slowly turn yellow, and the Tuileries Garden, Luxembourg Gardens, and Montmartre are filled with golden-brown fallen leaves. Sunlight filters through the branches, giving all of Paris a built-in vintage movie filter. Every photo looks like a scene from a K-drama or a lazy, stylish French film. It's a gentle texture that spring and summer just can't provide. ✅ Exclusive romance of wine season, a foodie's delight September–October is the grape harvest season in Burgundy and Bordeaux! Estates open up for picking, wine tasting, and tours of the winemaking process. It's the best time of year for a vacation at a French winery—niche and high-end. Experienced travelers who know how to travel always choose this time. ❌ Major warning! Average travelers, definitely don't rush into this! The fatal flaws of September–October With so many pros, why do I still not recommend it for average tourists or first-time visitors to France? Because there are too many hidden pitfalls that can ruin your entire travel experience! 1. Unpredictable weather, sudden rainy season, photos ruined The internet only raves about the beauty of autumn in France; no one tells you that September–October is the rainy season as the seasons change! Especially in Paris, northern Normandy, and Strasbourg, overcast, cloudy, and drizzly days are the norm. There are no clear blue skies or bright sunshine like in spring and summer; the sky is often gray and foggy. Occasional sunny days are fleeting, followed by continuous light rain. The wind is super strong, and it's very humid. The cold, damp feeling is worse than just a drop in temperature. Your carefully planned outfits and makeup won't look good in photos on rainy days, and the romantic Paris you expected turns into a gray, oppressive city. The South of France is relatively better, but it also rains frequently in mid-to-late October, and the wind by the sea is fierce. You can't leisurely stroll along the coastlines of Nice or Cannes. 2. Days get shorter rapidly, effective sightseeing time cut in half This is the biggest hidden pitfall of September–October!! In summer, France has very long days; it's still bright at 10 PM, so you can spend the whole day visiting attractions and getting things done. But starting in September, it gets dark noticeably earlier. By October, dusk starts after 4 PM, and it's completely dark by 5 PM! Your effective sightseeing time per day is only about 6 hours. France has so many attractions: the Louvre, Versailles, the Seine, old towns, beaches, small towns... Your itinerary gets squeezed tight. You don't dare sleep in, and you're rushing around in the afternoon. There's no "relaxed French travel" vibe at all; you're just exhausted from rushing every day! 3. Polarized scenery, peak beauty is all offline Many people think all of France is beautiful in autumn, but they are dead wrong! ✅ France in spring/summer: Lavender and sunflower fields everywhere in the South of France, green fields, crystal-clear lakes, and deep blue seas. The whole country is vibrant and full of life—this is the "beautiful, romantic France" that everyone knows. ❌ France in September–October: The flower fields in Provence have completely finished blooming, and the fields are withered and desolate, with zero "Instagrammable" filter; Normandy, Mont Saint-Michel, and major national parks have withered vegetation, and the scenery is monotonous and dull; Only the sycamore trees in downtown Paris look good. Aside from city streetscapes, the natural scenery is basically all offline! If it's your first time in France and you want to see flower fields, blue seas, and healing countryside, you will be 100% disappointed! 4. Serious price premiums in September, very low cost-performance Many people think September is the off-season and prices are cheap, but the reality is the exact opposite! September is packed with Paris Fashion Week and various international exhibitions. Hotel and flight prices remain high, and homestays in popular areas have serious price premiums. There is absolutely no off-season value. Prices don't drop until mid-to-late October. It's basically a month where you get no beautiful scenery, no long days, and it's expensive—a total "sucker's" month to travel. 5. Many activities shut down, travel variety greatly reduced Entering autumn, many unique outdoor activities in France gradually stop operating: All water activities on the beaches of the South of France close, and open-air markets in small towns are significantly reduced; Some rural hiking trails, riverside leisure facilities, and outdoor exhibitions close periodically; Many niche "Instagrammable" spots and outdoor cafes shorten their business hours. If you want to experience a rich French vacation vibe, autumn is really far inferior to spring and summer! ✅ Ultra-precise France travel "do's and don'ts" list | Beginners can just copy this 💛 [Go for it · Golden best time: June–August] France's beauty is at its peak all year! Sunny days everywhere, very long days, flower fields everywhere, lush green vegetation, and deep blue seawater. All attractions, markets, and outdoor activities are open. Whether it's a city tour of Paris, wandering through small towns in the South of France, a beach vacation, or visiting wineries, the experience is maxed out. For your first trip to France, this is the time to choose! 💛 [First choice for niche artsy types: Late September–Early October] Only suitable for: wine tasting, visiting shops, taking photos, slow-paced Paris strolling, and in-depth artsy travelers. Not suitable for: first-time visitors, those wanting to see panoramic scenery, those rushing through an itinerary, or family vacations. 💔 [Absolute avoid period: Late October–November] Continuous rain, temperatures plummeting, desolate scenery, very short days. The travel experience completely collapses—beginners, stay away! 📍 Must-save for beginners | Classic must-visit attractions in France all year round (suitable for all 4 seasons) ▫️ Downtown Paris ✔️ Eiffel Tower: Beautiful at sunset on sunny days; the vibe is halved on cloudy days ✔️ Louvre: Can be visited indoors all year round, unaffected by weather ✔️ Seine River cruise: Summer evening breeze is legendary; autumn is cold, windy, and a poor experience ✔️ Montmartre: Autumn yellow leaves are super romantic, great for photos ▫️ Small towns in the South of France ✔️ Provence: Only recommended in summer! No flower fields in autumn, not recommended ✔️ Nice's Angel Bay, Cannes seaside: Blue seas and skies in spring/summer; windy and rainy in autumn ▫️ Classic outskirts ✔️ Palace of Versailles: Outdoor gardens are beautiful in spring/summer; vegetation is withered and average in autumn ✔️ Bordeaux/Burgundy wineries: Exclusive peak season in September–October, perfect for wine tasting ✍️ Final heartfelt summary France is truly a romantic country worth visiting for a lifetime. Spring and summer are a healing fairy tale, winter is a gentle fairy tale, only autumn is the most awkward! ✅ If it's your first time going, you want to check off the most beautiful parts of France, and you want to see blue seas, flower fields, and blue skies 👉 Definitely don't choose September–October! Prioritize June–August! ✅ If you've been to France in spring/summer, prefer a slow, artsy life, and are coming specifically for autumn scenery + red wine 👉 September–October is fine to go; it's niche, less crowded, and the vibe is maxed out. Don't blindly follow the crowd; choose the right time to encounter the most romantic France✨

Think the French Riviera is only for luxury travelers? Nice can be surprisingly affordable if you plan it right. 🗓️ How to spend 3 days: DAY 1 — Explore for free 🚶♀️ Start in Vieux Nice and walk through its colorful streets and markets. Continue to Place Masséna, then finish the day on the Promenade des Anglais. 🌅 For sunset, climb Castle Hill one of the best views in Nice and completely free. DAY 2 — Beach + local food 🏖️ Skip the expensive beach clubs. Bring a towel and enjoy one of Nice’s public beaches. 🥖 Grab a fresh baguette, cheese, fruit and pastries from a local shop for a picnic by the sea. 🍋 Try local specialties such as socca, pissaladière and salade niçoise instead of expensive waterfront restaurants. DAY 3 — Explore the Riviera 🚆 Use the regional train for an affordable day trip. Choose one: 🇲🇨 Monaco — glamour & yachts 🇫🇷 Menton — colorful streets & beaches 🇫🇷 Antibes — old town & Mediterranean atmosphere 🇫🇷 Cannes — famous for its film festival 🏨 Budget hotel / guesthouse: €70–120/night 🥐 Breakfast from a bakery: €5–10 🍝 Casual lunch: €12–20 🚆 Regional train trips: usually a few euros each way 📅 When to go? May–June or September is the sweet spot: warm weather, pleasant sea temperatures and generally fewer tourists than in July–August. 💡 Money-saving trick: stay slightly outside the historic center, use public transport, eat your main meals at local bakeries and small restaurants, and save your money for one special dinner with a sea view. ✨ Nice doesn’t have to be expensive. The Mediterranean, beautiful old streets, French food and spectacular sunsets are all waiting for you whether your hotel costs €80 or €800 a night. #travel2026

🌊 "About Nice, first a complaint, then a heartfelt confession" Before coming, I thought the streets would be full of the glamorous scenes from movies, but actually— 1. [Cry] The promised sandy beach turned out to be a rocky beach! 🌚 So uncomfortable it made me question life. Without water shoes, you can’t gracefully step into the water. 2. [Sweat] The restaurants are pricey! Sea view restaurants are outrageously expensive, but the food is just average. 3. [Surprising] Thieves and homeless people do exist. It feels a bit uneasy near the train station at night. But! When the deep blue of Castle Hill hits your eyes, when the ocher walls of the old town alleys are dyed honey-colored by the sunset—the earlier complaints are unconditionally forgiven by the sunshine ☀️. · -- 🎨 Day 1: The original internet-famous spot—the clash of ocher and azure Morning: Get lost in the old town & find food at the market Dive into the narrow alleys of Vieux Nice, like a spilled palette with bright yellow, ocher red, and coral pink houses squeezed together. Head straight to Cours Saleya market, open Tuesday to Sunday mornings. Breakfast plan: Spend €3 on a freshly baked socca (chickpea pancake), crispy and fragrant! Grab a Pan Bagnat (Nice sandwich) for a picnic. Noon: Castle Hill hike & bird’s-eye view Navigate to the Castle Hill elevator (Ascenseur du Château), a lazy person’s blessing that takes you straight to the top 🛗. Overlook Baie des Anges, the sea blue like jelly, with red tile roofs spread beneath you—this is Nice’s “life photo” spot 📸. Afternoon: Relax on the seaside promenade Stroll or rent a bike (€1.5/30 minutes) along the Promenade des Anglais. Spot the iconic Nice blue chairs, flop down, watch the sea, people, and palm trees, and do nothing. Tip: The rocks are hard on your butt! If you didn’t bring a mat, rent a beach chair. Evening: Night walk at Place Masséna Place Masséna is magical at night! Black-and-white checkerboard ground, red buildings, the sun fountain, and seven glowing pillar statues. 🍽️ Dinner: Lou Balico (old town) A local-recommended hidden gem where you can try all the specialties on one Nice platter! 🥐 Dessert: Fenocchio ice cream, try the prickly pear or chestnut flavors. The shop at Rossetti Square in the old town is the most popular. · -- 🎭 Day 2: Art tour & Russian onion domes Morning: Matisse’s colorful celebration Visit the Musée Matisse to see how the Fauvist master was conquered by Nice’s sunshine. (Closed on Mondays!) Noon: Russian onion dome encounter Stop by the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral, the least French-looking building! Its magnificent onion domes instantly transport you to Moscow. Afternoon: Half-day escape to Villefranche-sur-Mer Take a bus or bike to Villefranche-sur-Mer, a quieter spot with colorful houses and a deep blue bay. Hike along the coastline at Cap Ferrat 🌊. 🍽️ Dinner: YOSE (Peruvian cuisine) Change things up! The grilled shrimp and squid are amazing. Remember to book in advance. ☕️ Afternoon tea: Bakery By Michel Fiori Matcha or pistachio croissants, filled generously, about €1.5–€2.5! · -- 🗺️ Day 3: Relax or spontaneous nearby trips Morning: Daydream on the hill or explore a small town Option A (lazy): Return to Castle Hill. The morning and evening light are completely different. The park has waterfalls and Roman ruins. Option B (active): Spend half a day in Eze village by bus or Uber (€20–30). A medieval eagle’s nest village with a hilltop cactus garden (€5, mint tea is a must!) overlooking the entire coast. Afternoon: Shopping spree Rush back to Av. Jean Médecin for shopping. Galeries Lafayette is small but well stocked. · -- 🏨 Where to stay? · Sea view lovers (€€€): Five-star hotels along the Promenade des Anglais, wake up to views of Baie des Anges 🌅. · Atmosphere seekers (€€): Stay in the old town, steps from food and alleys, about €800–1200/night. · Budget travelers (€): Near the train station, convenient transport but be cautious at night, about €500/night. · -- 🚌 Transportation tips · Airport to city: Tram 2 is the easiest, about 30 minutes. Money-saving hack: ride free to Grand Arénas station, then buy and top up your ticket! · Single ride: €1.7, free transfers within 74 minutes. Day pass (€7/day) allows unlimited bus and tram rides. · What not to do: Flash valuables near the train station, wander alleys late at night, go to the rocky beach without a mat, visit the market on Monday (closed!). · -- 💎 Final thoughts Nice’s beauty is the intensity in Matisse’s paintings, the sea breeze in Hemingway’s pages, and the thousand-year stories told at every corner. Take this guide and discover the French Riviera dream beyond imagination 💙

Just got back from the legendary Cannes Film Festival and honestly, it was a next-level vibe! If you love movies, sunny beach days, and a little dose of celebrity spotting, Cannes should 100% be on your travel bucket list. 🌴🤩 First things first: The main action goes down at Palais des Festivals et des Congrès (1 Boulevard de la Croisette, 06400 Cannes, France). This place is THE hotspot for premieres, red carpet moments, and people-watching like you wouldn't believe! If you’re aiming for superstar energy, this is ground zero. I spent my days soaking in the French Riviera sunshine along La Croisette—think sparkling blue water, chic cafés, and Insta-worthy palm trees everywhere. The red carpet buzz is seriously contagious, and the city basically turns into a non-stop party. Pro tip: Pop by between 9 am and 10 pm to catch all the movie screenings and screenings-related events. The energy? Off. The. Charts. I caught a few must-see premieres (seats filled up sooo fast, so book through trip.com in advance or you’ll blink and miss out!). One night, I even bumped into a few indie filmmakers at a casual beach bar. Cannes really does bring everyone together—from Oscar winners to TikTok creators. For food, there are tons of vibey spots along the beach—grab a croissant at a boulangerie in the morning, then hit one of the fancy hotel terraces (hello, Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes) for a sunset cocktail and people-watching session you’ll never forget. Want to snap that iconic “I’m at Cannes!” selfie? Head to the massive Cannes sign near the Palais or stroll along the Croisette for some cinematic views. TL;DR: Cannes Film Festival is all about sunshine, top-tier films, and making memories you’ll be humble-bragging about forever. Don’t forget your coolest sunglasses and a phone with plenty of storage for all those celeb sightings! Would go back in a heartbeat—see you at next year’s festival? 🎥✨

🇫🇷 If you ask me, which small town in the South of France is the most unforgettable? I would say: Antibes. Here, there’s none of the hustle and bustle of Nice, nor the glamour of Cannes, but there is a white giant quietly sitting by the sea, built from 26 letters— Le Nomade (The Wanderer). · -- 🧍‍♂️ Who is he? Le Nomade is a sculpture by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa, created in 2007 and permanently installed on the walls of Port Vauban in Antibes in 2010. It is an 8-meter-tall seated figure, but what’s most special is that it’s not solid. The entire sculpture is welded together from white steel letters, from A to Z, 26 letters densely intertwined. From afar, they form the silhouette of a pensive human figure; up close, you can see each individual letter, like a poem scattered and then reassembled into the shape of a person. The artist said, “These letters are like bricks that allow us to build thoughts.” · -- 🌊 Chasing dreams in the city, gazing at the sky by the sea He faces the Mediterranean, with ancient city walls behind him, sitting quietly there. In the morning, sunlight filters through the gaps between the letters, casting mottled shadows on the ground; at dusk, the sunset bathes the entire sculpture in gold. He still looks toward the sea, as if waiting for something, yet as if waiting for nothing at all. The most magical thing is—you can walk inside. Standing inside the sculpture, the whole world is broken down into shapes of letters. The sea breeze passes through the gaps, the sky is sliced into fragments, and distant yachts, the harbor, and coastline become a flowing collage. At that moment, you understand why it’s called “The Wanderer.” He is not a specific someone, but every person chasing dreams in the city and gazing at the sky by the sea. Using 26 letters, he builds a corner to hold all wandering souls. · -- 📍 How to find him? The sculpture is located on the terrace of Bastion Saint-Jaume, right next to Port Vauban. How to get there: · Exit Antibes train station and walk along the coastline toward the Old Town · Pass through the Old Town and follow the path along the harbor · When you see the steps on the city wall, walk up and you’re there Tip: There’s an open-air bar on the terrace where the sculpture stands—grab a drink and daydream facing the Mediterranean. · -- 🎨 One-day walking route in Antibes Le Nomade is just the beginning. This small town hides many surprises: ➊ Old Town stroll Wander into the alleys of the Old Town, where the brick red and soft green walls in southern French style sparkle under the sun. Any alley is perfect for photos. ➋ Provence market Every morning, selling fresh fruits, cheese, olive oil, lavender products, and freshly shucked oysters. ➌ Picasso Museum In 1946, Picasso stayed for six months at the Grimaldi Castle in Antibes, leaving behind a series of works themed on marine life. The museum is by the sea in the Old Town, tickets cost 12 euros. ➍ Monet’s coastline In 1888, Monet wrote while painting in Antibes: “Antibes sparkles in the sunlight, framed by blue and pink mountains and the eternally white Alps, so beautiful it seems unreal.” Go to Plage du Ponteil beach and stand where Monet painted to see the same sea. · -- 🚗 Transportation tips Train: About 20 minutes from Nice, one-way ticket around 6.7 euros Bus: Route 200 also reaches here Car: The most convenient way in the South of France, parking available near the Old Town harbor · -- 💡 Practical information · Admission: Free · Opening hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM · Recommended visit time: 0.5-2 hours (half a day to a full day including Old Town stroll) · Best time: Before sunset, the light is most beautiful · -- 💙 Final thoughts On the day I left Antibes, I went to see him once more. The sunset stretched his shadow long, and the light spots between the letters scattered like fragments of gold on the ground. He was still in the same pose, facing the sea, quiet as if he had been sitting here for a thousand years. I suddenly remembered a saying: “Wanderers all have a harbor where they want to dock.” Le Nomade is not a wanderer; he is every one of us on the road. Chasing dreams in the city, gazing at the sky by the sea. If you go to the South of France, please send him my regards.

#cruiseholiday as many others, I believed that cruises are for exclusively a leisure activity for when I’ll be on my well deserved pension. But, I’m so glad we had a “crazy” idea to try it out while still young! And oh boy, it was one of the best decisions of our life and now we try to do a cruise at least once a year. They are fantastic for seeing smaller cities and towns you would never visit individually, or having a rich agenda “without” all the travel part (like planes, trains etc), you explore the city, get to your “luxury hotel” and next day you are teleported to the next great spot! We only cruised with ##msc and my personal perfect formula to enjoy the cruise from start to finish is: 1. get a room with Aurea experience (having a more quiet & exclusive sun deck area, “any” time for dinner service, and free access to the SPA area - hugely impacts the overall vibe), 2. newer ships only 3. pre-paid beverage packages (drinking freshly brewed coffee in the morning and pina coladas next to the hot tub on a sun deck, without thinking twice of whether to order them or not - is an experience worth every penny). And once again, don’t worry of being too young for the cruise! It requires close to infinite energy levels, as you wake up early to have breakfast and disembark the ship for the full day of an adventure (often in your dream location) and 30 thousand steps later you return to ship for a full blown program of dinner, show and party that you don’t want to leave.

Right next to the main venue of the Cannes Film Festival? I stayed at an unforgettable lifetime hotel! Facing the Mediterranean Sea, with a private beach just downstairs. Cannes Croisette, just across the street is the hotel's private beach; super close to the Palais des Festivals, the main venue of the Cannes Film Festival, you can stroll over to soak up the red carpet atmosphere! Cannes train station is also nearby, making trips to Nice and Monaco super easy. Besides the stunning private beach area, the hotel's outdoor pool faces the sea, swimming at sunset is simply so romantic! The spa offers professional massage services, and the fitness center is open 24 hours. The most special thing is that the hotel still retains a strong film element, with many displays of movie memorabilia that film fans will definitely love! The sea view rooms are designed so beautifully! Creamy white as the main tone, with top-quality fabrics and furniture, the bedding is so comfortable you won’t want to get up~ There are huge floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies, so you can lie in bed in the morning and enjoy the beautiful Mediterranean view. The hotel has 3 restaurants and several bars. The Regent restaurant serves authentic French cuisine and requires advance reservations! Carlton Beach Club offers fresh Mediterranean dishes, and dining by the sea creates an amazing atmosphere. Breakfast is buffet style, with freshly made croissants and local specialties, and the quality is really good~

Set along the sun-kissed French Riviera, Cannes is far more than its famous film festival. Easily accessible by train from Nice in under 40 minutes, the city invites you to slow down and enjoy Mediterranean life. Walk the elegant La Croisette, relax on sandy beaches, or climb up to Le Suquet, the old quarter, for sweeping views of the harbor and pastel rooftops. Activities range from island-hopping to the peaceful Lérins Islands, to browsing fresh produce and local flavors at Marché Forville. Cannes is a dream for food lovers—think grilled seafood, Provençal classics, buttery pastries, and chilled rosé by the sea. While luxury hotels dominate the coastline, charming boutique stays and apartments offer more affordable options. 💡 Pro tip: Visit in September or early October for warm water, golden light, and a much calmer, more local Cannes. #Cannes #FrenchRiviera #MediterraneanEscape #HiddenLuxury #CityBreak #FoodLovers #SlowTravel

#cityplaybook It’s always challenging when you have just 24 hours to explore the city but if it’s happening with you in Cannes that is the list what to do: 10am: Shop designer labels for less After Paris, Cannes is France’s second home to haute couture. Never have I shopped with such joyful wild abandon as I have in Cannes. Maybe it’s the helpful and friendly shop assistants, or the tempting range of options from independent boutiques to international high-street favourites and high-end luxury fashion boutiques, where items cost around 10% less than in some other major shopping destinations. Be sure to leave some space in your case. 12pm: Have lunch with added beats at a beach club The famous Plage de La Croisette is lined with beach clubs. Stroll along the promenade, which overlooks them all, and gravitate towards your preferred vibe. Nikki Beach founders have introduced their colourful new beach club concept Lucia, which opened in 2024. Savour sea views and steaming bowls of linguini vongole – and save room for the joyously delicious île flottante, a classic French floating meringue with a hidden hit of peanut butter. Alternatively, grab a soft-serve ice cream from one of the many stalls on the promenade and pull up a complimentary blue chair, ubiquitous this famous coastline. 5pm: Stroll through the ‘Old Town’ Start your exploration at the foot of Rue Saint-Antoine in the charming, medieval neighbourhood of Le Suquet, the ‘Old Town’ of Cannes. With narrow, winding streets, stone houses, traditional eateries, boutiques and market stalls, Le Suquet comes alive as dusk falls. At the highest point stands 17th-century Gothic church Église Notre-Dame d'Espérance and the city’s landmark ‘Cannes’ sign. From here, take in sweeping views of the city, the glistening Mediterranean and the nearby Lérins Islands. Bring your camera. 8pm: Dine in style at one of Cannes’ most popular restaurants Palme d’Or restaurant by Jean Imbert at Hôtel Martinez, one of Cannes’ Grande Dames (see below), for fine dining with Mediterranean flavours and panoramas, and a compelling collection of original movie memorabilia, including the chilling ice pick seen in Basic Instinct. Another welcome addition to the dining scene, Zuma made its debut in France with its first permanent restaurant in Cannes in May 2024. The stunning Zuma Cannes, set within the exclusive Palm Beach club on Pointe Croisette, has a vast terrace with retractable sails overlooking the Bay of Cannes.

# City Day Trip When we think of Cannes, France, we will immediately think of the "Cannes Film Festival". When you come to the Côte d'Azur, it's hard not to come to Croisette Beach for a walk. The seaside in Cannes is very popular, and it is indeed a holiday destination that Europeans love. What comes to you is either a breathable long skirt or a cool bikini-style dress. It has a strong holiday style! If you only have one day, feel free to visit the Palace of Festivals, the old port, La Croisette and Rue d'Antibes, Statue de Lord Brougham, Hotel du Ville and more. As for whether you have time to go to Mont Chevalier to look at the scenery from a high position depends on whether you have time. Anyway, it was beautiful to take pictures up from the foot of the mountain.

Saint-Honorat is the second largest island in the French Lérins Archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. It is about 1.5 kilometers long from east to west and 400 meters wide. About 1.6 kilometers off the coast of Cannes, the island has been home to a monastic community since the fifth century. The current monastery buildings were built around 1073. In Roman times, the uninhabited island was called Lerina until Saint Honoratus, who later became Archbishop of Arles, founded the Abbey of Lerina on the island around 410. According to tradition, St. Honoratus made his home on the island intending to live a secluded life, but he found that his disciples, including St. Capra, who would later be canonized as a Christian saint, joined him and a monastic community formed around him. According to the contemporary writings of the Christian theologian John Cassian, by 427 it had become a vast monastery. Later legend has it that St. Patrick, known as the "Apostle of Ireland," studied at this monastery in the fifth century. Over the following centuries, monastic life on the island was interrupted several times by attacks, mostly by Saracens. Around 732, many members of the monastery, including the abbot Bocharius, were massacred on the island by invaders. According to myth, many of the monks escaped because Pocharius was warned by an angel who whisked them away to safety. During the Middle Ages, the Island of Saint-Honorat became a popular pilgrimage site. The island's fame was greatly enhanced by the biography of the monk Raymond Ferro, who created a mythical life for the island. In 1635, Saint-Honorat Island was occupied by the Spanish and the monks were expelled. Two years later, they returned from exile in Vallauris when the Island of Saint-Honorat was recaptured by the French. The monastery continued to suffer attacks from Spain and Genoa. The number of monks was reduced to four, and in the revolutionary atmosphere of the time, the monastery was dissolved in 1787. During the Revolution, the island of Saint-Honorat became state property and was sold to a Mademoiselle de Sanval, a wealthy actress who lived on the island for 20 years. In 1859, the island of Saint-Honorat was bought by the Bishop of Fréjus, who attempted to re-establish a religious community there. Ten years later, a Cistercian community was formed, which survives to this day. Today, the monks cultivate vineyards and produce wine and liqueurs. #France #FranceTravel #FranceTourism #FrenchPlaces #Cannes #Mediterranean #Island #Monastery #Provence

#celebratewithtrip #france #frenchriviera #cannes #shopping Shop on Antibes Street and Meynadier Street Have a walk on this almost Oxford Street in London look-a-like shopping street. Here you will find all your favourite brands and more. During our visit, the streets were busy and all shops had outside pop-up stalls. For more local flavours, souvenirs and crafts try Meynadier Street. This street is really cute with colourful buildings, local shops and lots of tourists. Anything from pastry shops to clothing stores, you will see them all. Just wandeing around and enjoying the little streets of Cannes and visiting those cute souvenirs shop makes it worthwhile.

#celebratewithtrip #france #frenchriviera #cannes The Promenade de la Croisette is the waterfront avenue with palm trees. La Croisette is known for picturesque beaches, restaurants, cafés, boutiques and luxury hotels. Croisette beach Whilst you are on the promenade why not go on the Croisette beach and put your feet in the sand? Unlike Monaco and Nice, the beach here is really smooth almost like in Punta Cana. Really enjoyed walking around and enjoying the beautiful views. The sand is so fine and so nice to walk on. The water is clear but was rather cold in October. Overall a great experience alongside the promenade.

#celebratewithtrip #france #frenchriviera #cannes Visit Church of Our Lady of Hope Church of Our Lady of Hope (Église Notre-Dame-d’Espérance) is a hilltop Gothic-style stone church completed in the 1600s overseeing the bay area. You can enjoy some nice panoramic views of Cannes from there. The interior of the church has its own character and you can even find an old cemetery which dates back to the 16th century. Definitely a church worth visiting whilst in the city. What is also very impressive is the views from the church. You can see so many parts of Cannes from above, it is really beautiful and worth spending some time admiring the views.

#Unbeatable sea view #overseas travel France seems to be less explored except Paris and Provence, when I used to live in France, I had visited the Côte d'Azur in southern France, a coast facing the Mediterranean, from Nice to Marseille two hundred Kilometers of coastline dotted with towns large and small, this is a holiday destination for the French, summer prices are sometimes even higher than Paris! To get there, the most convenient way is to take a plane to Nice and then drive there. It's really relaxing to get up every day and look at a azure sea view

Best atmosphere, amazing food and most importantly outstanding service! We unexpectedly ended up spending 6 of our total 8 days in Cannes on the pier of the Carlton Beach Club. A big thank you to each and every member of the team for their dedication and careful attention in ensuring the highest standards of service and making everyone feel so special. So good that I felt compelled to write a public review (my first ever since joining TripAdvisor in 2014). Pricing is well calibrated given the overall experience. A highly recommended place owing to a very dedicated team.
