Hey guys, today I'm sharing my one-day itinerary in Cardiff 😆 🎈Here's my route: Starting from the train station, my first stop was the Millennium Stadium, then I headed to the castle, exited from the side of Bute Park, went to the City Hall, and then to the free National Museum. After that, I walked south to the city center, where there's a large shopping mall called Queens Arcade, with all the major brands. My friends in Exeter would be envious! Then I continued south through the mall and found a large 5-story second-hand building called P4, which has comic books and all sorts of interesting things to explore. Finally, I went to the seaside, where Cardiff Boat Tours offers stunning views. Overall, Cardiff is a big city with lots of people, beautiful attractions, and a relaxing seaside. 🍜 As for food, I visited two Chinese restaurants recommended by local friends. One is called Little Restaurant, which serves generous portions of noodles and rice. The other is Happy Gathering, which offers amazing dim sum. It opens at 12 pm and is always crowded, with a lively atmosphere. 🏨 For accommodation, I stayed for one night at the Angel Hotel opposite the castle. The facilities were quite complete, and the experience was good.

Cardiff is the capital of Wales, a coastal city, very comfortable. We arrived in Cardiff by train from Gloucester the night before, found a hotel to stay in that night, and started our one-day tour of Cardiff the next day. It doesn't get dark until 7 or 8 o'clock after British Summer Time, so the time for sightseeing is greatly extended. In the morning we went to Cardiff market and bought some Welsh biscuits. We bought two of each flavour, including coconut jam, chocolate, traditional and lemon flavours. Ten pieces cost 4.5 pounds. They tasted sweet and very good. Then we walked to Cardiff Castle, took some photos there, and took a walk inside. It felt so magnificent. Then walk to the Cardiff Museum, which houses Monet's water lilies and is also a great place to take photos. Then we bought a day bus pass for 3.8 pounds and started our bus tour. We first had a meal, a South American dish called wings of glory. The dishes tasted very novel and worth trying. The boss was also very nice. The bathroom also provided free tampons and sanitary napkins, which was very thoughtful. Then we took a car to the beach and went to Cardiff Bay. The sunshine was great and the wind was not strong. Cardiff Bay is a very walkable spot with lots of nice sights to see. It's easily reached via Cardiff Bay train station or a reasonable short walk from Cardiff City centre. It's near the water so you get lots of fresh air and exercise and it's a very relaxing place to walk. Some notable sights include The Norwegian Church, a beautiful white church where Roald Dahl went. The Pierhead building, a gorgeous red brick building. The Wales Millennium Centre, and the Welsh Government building. These are all near each other and worh checking out. Autumn/Fall has arrived in the Welsh Capital and there is no better place to see it than Bute Park. Huge sprawling park with numerous trees of wildly different varieties. At this time of year they start to change colour and you get the fire orange, browns, greens and even some reds. You can walk the dog or go jogging, or simply sit on a bench and enjoy the fresh air & nature. The leaves are falling on the ground too so you can kick through them and bring out your inner child. The most well known and popular attraction in Cardiff and possibly in Wales is Cardiff Castle. Visited by people from all over the world, you'll often here a lot of accents and languages while you're walking the grounds. Some of this structure dates back to the Roman's and more to the Medieval times but a lot of it was rebuilt in the 1850-1880 for Lord Bute of Cardiff. There are large grounds to walk, and you can take in the awesome structure around you. The fort surrounded by a moat is very impressive and although a ruin you can still climb to the top and see the views. This is where important prisoners would have been kept. The main building is lavish and luxurious. With intricate and beautiful details. The Arab room and the library are especially eye catching. This is where the Lord would have lived. Cardiff museum is one of the best in the United Kingdom in my opinion. It's a great free, fun and interesting option to have, and good for all weathers. The classical art section here is excellent with many masters on display such as Renoir, Monet, Van Gogh, Turner and more. The display is well laid out and comes with information about each painting or sculpture. There is a prehistoric section with information about dinosaurs, mammoths, fossils and so on. A huge sprawling city park at the heart of Cardiff. Named after The Third Marquis of Bute, a man whose family developed most of the Cardiff we know today. The main features of this park are the huge grassy areas which are perfect for picnics, sports, dog walking or just relaxing. Another joy feature is the wide range of different trees here from Evergreen to those that change with the season. Many of them blossom with fruits and berries. Dating back to 1120 this cathedral is truly an historical monument. But actually it's a practicing church with services you can freely attend. The choir and organ playing was incredible. The Sunday service was calm and welcoming. The building itself is stunning. The stained glass windows are are a work of art especially the main central window. Inside the cathedral there are monuments to past bishops and lots of beautiful decorative objects. Outside has a small cemetery and some benches to rest & reflect. Fantastic and historical indoor market in the heart of the city. Not so big but has everything you need over two floors. The building itself is gorgeous, a real example of Victorian architecture. The brickwork facade is really photogenic and the interior is too with a cool metal roof. The usual market traders are here such as fruit&veg, butchers, artisan bakers, book dealers, cobblers and the like. But there is also a vintage vinyl seller and a Welsh gift seller and some other intresting stuff. The food stalls are surprising, with Indian street food, perogi dumplings, woodbaked pizza and more. St John's Parish is a Medieval church dating back to 1400s and is one of the oldest structures in the city centre other than Cardiff Castle. It's a beautiful building from the outside with a tall steeple and aesthetic stone facade. There is a small garden attached which is nice to sit and think. The interior steals the show though. Wonderful examples of stained glass windows on all sides of the buildings. With alters, organs, pews, stairways, and beams it's a visual feast. It's just a short hop from Queen Street so if you're in downtown Cardiff then consider popping in #bucketlistreboot #solotravel

This was one of he best places to have coffee and eat .The meal started with a perfectly brewed cup of tea, served in classic signaturei branding—a simple yet comforting choice to complement the morning. The food, however, was the real showstopper. The poached pear toast was a delightful balance of textures and flavors—thick, crusty sourdough generously layered with creamy spread, topped with tender, caramelized pears, and finished with fresh mint.
