During my recent trip to Thailand, I joined a day trip to Phi Phi Islands from Krabi, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences of my travels. We started early in the morning from Ao Nang Pier. A speedboat picked us up around 9:00 AM, and in about 45 minutes, we were gliding past the stunning limestone cliffs and heading straight into paradise. Our first stop was Maya Bay on Phi Phi Leh. I’d seen pictures before, but nothing compares to seeing it in person. The bay is surrounded by tall cliffs, and the water is so clear and blue it almost looked unreal. Swimming wasn’t allowed in the bay at the time, but walking along the soft white sand and taking in the views was more than enough. Next, we visited Pileh Lagoon, a hidden gem surrounded by steep cliffs and emerald-green water. The boat stopped right in the middle of the lagoon, and we jumped in for a swim. Floating in that calm, warm water while staring up at the limestone walls was something I’ll never forget. Then came Monkey Beach, where we saw wild monkeys lounging and climbing trees along the shore. The guides warned us not to get too close, but it was still fun to watch them from the boat. After that, we headed to Phi Phi Don, the main island. We had a delicious Thai buffet lunch by the beach, with options like fried rice, stir-fried vegetables, and chicken curry. After lunch, we had about an hour to relax on the beach, swim, or explore the small shops around. One of the highlights was hiking up to the Phi Phi Viewpoint. It was a bit of a climb in the heat, but the view of the twin bays and lush island landscape was worth every step. Before heading back, we stopped for some snorkeling near Bamboo Island. The underwater world was alive with colorful fish and coral. I even saw a clownfish hiding in the sea anemone! We returned to Krabi around 5:00 PM, tired but completely happy.

We traveled from Phuket to Krabi, heading straight to our accommodation. As usual, we booked our hotel through Trip, and it never disappoints. The hotel is located a bit deep inside, but it’s peaceful and quiet. After checking in, we took a shower, changed clothes, and went out to find something to eat. We dined at an Isaan restaurant called Luang Prabang, and the food was absolutely delicious! Since I already love fermented fish sauce, this place was a rare find for me. After finishing our savory meal, we moved on to dessert at a Japanese-style café. The café was super cute with plenty of photo spots, giving off a vibe like you’re in Japan. The café offers a variety of menu items, including rice dishes, donuts, bingsu, and sweet drinks. After that, we headed to a chill-out bar called Factory. The music was great, and every band performed beautifully. The bar opens in the evening, I think, and closes at 2 AM, so you can hang out there for hours.

Around the hotel, there are both restaurants and cafes. It's convenient to travel anywhere. It's also close to the pier. The room that Wan stayed in was the Chimpanzee Bathpod room. The room was clean, spacious, but what is famous for Blu Monkey rooms is the soft, comfortable bed, the soul-sucking pillow, and a full night's sleep. The room has complete amenities. Evenings on Phi Phi are full of life and energy. The beachfront comes alive with fire shows, live music, and buzzing beach bars. But what I loved most was how you could choose your pace — whether it's relaxing by the beach with a cocktail or dancing under the stars.
