A very beautiful place to visit. The riverfront view is very gorgeous. There is no entry free. We visited there from Wat Arun temple through ferry and ferry ticket cost only 10 THB per person. This place consists of many markets of different varieties, restaurants and fast food courts. Among them, main attraction is Giant ferry wheel. The entry of the ferry wheel is 500 THB each. When I arrived in Santiago, I found myself in a happy metropolis. Bellavista is full of trendy cafes and dance clubs, as well as a variety of architecture. You can enjoy sumptuous food.

The mall itself is really nice, in a good location, and decently maintained. It has a good variety of stores, and the walking areas are really nice and large, giving the mall a nice sense of space. The issues, although small, were noticeable. For example, the seating, which are large grey plastic pieces, have a thick layer of dust above them. There were also occasional little metal screws and whatnot sticking out of the floor, which definitely isn’t something that should ever happen. The bathrooms are nice, modern, and also well maintained. I did notice one major design flaw, which was the high powered air blowers (which are really great themselves) are right above a garbage can, so whenever you use them it causes garbage to come flying out. 😀 #summervacation#hotelstay#urbanexplorer

You will find English and American brands, like Gap, Warehouse, and Converse while there are also Spanish and European bands like Purification Garcia, colcci, and Rapsodia. There are suits, jumpers, trousers, and coats. The big glass windows provide the perfect display for the shelf upon the self of designer handbags and leather purses. Fueling your urge to shop is the boulevard, where restaurants and cafes line the walls and fill the outdoor area with tables and umbrellas. Keeping you entertained are the many activities on offer. This is a lovely park to walk around and take time out in. The grounds are well kept by a number of visible gardeners. There is a security guard who asks you to write your name and country of origin in a book before you enter. As a result, there is far less graffiti here than in the city, considering the protests. Lovely view at the top. There are a number of steps that need to be climbed up so you’d either need a car to take you to the top or be able to walk. #givethanks #givethanks

The fastest and most direct way to experience is of course to participate, because you can truly experience the soul of the city only if you really walk into them and participate in their activities. This is undoubtedly a zero-distance exchange with the city and the locals.

Revisiting Santiago brings a sense of déjà vu. Having rushed through all its attractions eight years ago, I found no urge to explore them again. So I transformed this trip into a "hotel retreat" - truly confining time within four walls. Santiago's summer feels like a season enchanted by sunlight: while thermometers show 20°C, stepping into the sunshine gives an intense burning sensation from the extreme UV radiation. Yet retreating into shaded areas brings sudden chills, with dramatic temperature differences. As sunset approaches, the evening chill even makes one shiver. I stayed at the Sheraton Santiago, a historic hotel built in 1970 that maintains its charm without feeling dilapidated. But opening the balcony door to view the city revealed little change - everything seemed frozen in time, exactly as eight years prior. The same buildings with their weathered facades, even the rhythm floating in the air remained untouched by time's passage. Some places reached their peak decades ago and simply stopped evolving. Being here feels like entering a temporal capsule where everything is preserved indefinitely. This experience made me understand why I cherish my ever-changing homeland so deeply - where time truly flows dynamically, with every inch of land pulsating with unstoppable growth energy.

📍旅行概要 I stayed in Santiago for 2 nights. Coming from New Zealand, and on the way to Easter Island, I visited this city. Day 1: I headed to the hotel that is located in Barrio Republica. After laving my luggage at the hotel, I walked to the Plaza de Armas. On the way to the plaza, I could see lots of historical places and palaces. Day2: I walked around my hotel, there were universities, so many students were walking. And then, I went to Cerro San Cristobal. The view from the top of the hill was so nice though so heavy smog was covering the city, it was as if I am above the clouds.
