Setiawan Food Trail: A Taste of Heritage in Every Bite
#summervacay
Our Setiawan food adventure was a journey through tradition, comfort, and delicious nostalgia. This trip was more than just food—it was a taste of Setiawan’s heritage, served in every bite. Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic local flavors with heart.
We started with the iconic Cheong Cia Gong Pian, where the crispy, onion-filled Foochow biscuits lived up to their cult status—fresh from the charcoal oven and gone before noon.
Next was Hee Ong Mee Xian, serving silky handmade vermicelli in a light fish broth—subtle, soulful, and deeply satisfying.
At Seng Jee Chan, we dug into hearty Foochow staples like red wine chicken mee sua and braised pork rice in a charming retro kopitiam setting.
Then came the rich, dark Lo Mi from Lee Chuo, where the thick gravy-coated noodles were full of comforting depth and flavor.
To end on a soft note, we detoured to Lee Ji Pillow Bun in Ayer Tawar—fluffy milk buns with creamy fillings that made for a perfect sweet finale.
