By taking
By taking a Shogawa Gorge cruise in Toyama-ken, you will get a great experience of the four seasons. While it is widely believed that winter is the most beautiful season in Shogawa, it actually has great scenery all year round. "Ohmaki onsen" is considered the "last secret area of the Japanese archipelago". This is why the creators of Japanese detective television series favor this shooting location.

The Shinminato Bridge, which spans Imizu City, Toyama Prefecture, is one of the largest cable-stayed bridges on the Sea of Japan side. It is 3.6 km long and the main tower is 127 m high! When you actually walk there, the sea breeze is pleasant, and you can't help but take a deep breath at the expanse of sky and sea. At night, it is lit up and enveloped in a fantastic atmosphere🌃

Enjoy the bounty of the sea at Himi Fishing Port, a natural fish tank 🐟
An exquisite trip to Toyama Bay
Himi Fishing Port in Himi City, Toyama Prefecture, is a fishing port that is called a "natural fish tank" because more than 150 types of fish are landed throughout the seasons. It is a spot where you can enjoy the bounty of the sea with all your senses, such as watching the lively auction that starts at 6am and a restaurant where you can enjoy fresh seafood bowls ✨
When I actually visited, I was surprised by the bustle of the port and the freshness of the fish! The "Himi Pickled Chirashi Set Meal" I had at the wharf restaurant was a perfect combination of seafood pickled in sweet soy sauce and vinegared rice, making it a memorable dish for my trip 🍣
It is about a 20-minute walk from JR Himi Station, or about an 8-minute drive from Himi IC on the Noetsu Expressway 🚗

This Year, I’ve Become a Sakura Aristocrat! 🌸✨
#cherryblossom25
For this trip, I first headed to Kyoto and then went on to Toyama. Toyama was colder, and the cherry blossoms bloomed later, which made the timing perfect. However, Kyoto was so crowded, and the experience wasn’t as enjoyable as in Toyama.
In Kyoto, the streets and spots were overflowing with people, especially around popular places like the Bekiri-tei cherry blossom paths and the Tōkō-bune boat ride. The atmosphere felt a bit hectic compared to the serene experience I had in Toyama.
Toyama, on the other hand, offered a quieter, more peaceful sakura experience. It was less crowded, allowing me to enjoy the beauty of the cherry blossoms more intimately. Definitely a hidden gem for those looking for a calm cherry blossom experience away from the crowds!

・White like snow
・Pale pink that softly colors spring...
In addition, a field of rapeseed flowers and tulips spreads out at your feet,
and in the background stands the majestic Mount Asahi, still covered in snow.

[Toyama] Recommended for sauna lovers!
📍SaunaTaloToyama
A stylish sauna facility with a cafe-like atmosphere.
It's still new, so it's very clean.
When I went on a weekday morning, there were hardly any people there, so it was a hidden gem!

[Mt. Fuji] Mt. Fuji seen on an early morning walk
The view from the temple near Fuji-Q Highland was very beautiful 🏔️
The charm of Mt. Fuji in winter is its majestic and quiet appearance. The snow-covered peak stands out even more in the clear winter air, and the contrast with the blue sky is beautiful.
