I was instantly captivated! After some research, I discovered Taizhou not only boasts mountains and seas, but is also a paradise for soft and chewy delicacies. I immediately grabbed my friends, booked tickets, and set off! Day 1: A Day of Exploring Natural Wonders 📍 Tiantai Mountain Grand Waterfall The "Grandest Waterfall in China" lives up to its name! Standing on the viewing platform, the mist sprays your face, and rainbows appear and disappear. Wearing a *hanfu* here makes for stunning photos (non-slip shoes recommended). After descending the mountain, I stopped by the former residence of Ji Gong and listened to the fascinating stories of the Living Buddha. 📍 Guoqing Temple A Sui Dynasty temple with a 1,400-year history, it's bustling with worshippers yet tranquil. Wenling is a tiny little city in Taizhou that is home to so much beauty and intricacy. We came to Wenling a year ago when we were running a marathon and this year came back for some much needed R&R. The hotel owners are the kindest people I’ve ever met. so sweet and accommodating. they even picked us up from the train station to get to their hotel to show us hospitality. what a dream this destination was. we got to see the colourful village, sight see and eat some local foods. They helped us with our meals, rooms and anything else we could’ve asked for! The Deefly Sunsee Hotel in Wenling, Zhejiang, China is such a vibe. The entire hotel is old stone houses converted into mini villas for guests. This hotel’s atmosphere was absolutely everything and more from the people to the scenery. The owner and manager of the hotel came personally to pick us up from the train station and treated us so kindly. This destination is in the middle of nowhere and for us that was bliss. Great way to reconnect with nature and be still. highly recommended!!! 10/10, would go back.

We visited a park in Wenling which had several attractions. We paid 158 yuan. We walked on a glass bridge with a gorgeous view, then we went down a fun water slide and then on a rainbow slide. The electric elevator was fun too because it's very unusual. You have to sit backwards on it 😄 The staff are friendly thought they don't understand English.
