#thingstodo A lovely regional park in Yachiyo City. A lot of grass can be found on either side of the park's sports ground. On the other side of the Shin River there's a lot more open space with some interestingly shaped mounds. Nice nature riverside area. Good to take a walk. Cool wind blow along the river. Its also close to the library so when its too hot, drop by then library to get cooled down and get some drink there.

I always visit Keisei Rose Garden every May. In the past, there were couple discounts and discounts if you bought tickets in advance for the rose and gardening show, but it seems like there are no such discounts now. At this time of year, Keisei Rose Garden is very crowded, so I recommend going early in the morning. There are free parking spaces around 8am, and you can take photos of the roses and scenery without too many people. The roses also smell better early in the morning! If you time it right, the rose-shaped ice cream is also cute and recommended. I stroll around for about 2 hours, and before lunch I go to the bakery next door. It's very spacious and has a wide variety of breads, and if you shop here, you get free coffee! I take the bread out and have a picnic on the grass in a nearby park. After Keisei Rose Garden, I go to Yatsu Rose Garden. I also recommend this place.
