2025 Zamami Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in July)

🏢 Hotel Most hotels near tourist attractions are quite narrow. We wanted a hotel with more space, so we chose a bit further away from the tourist attractions. We could walk and take the bus. 🏝️🏖️ Zamami Island is really beautiful, but it takes the whole day. It takes 2 hours each way by boat. We have about 3 hours to tour the island before we have to take the boat back. Personally, if you don’t mind going to the island to see the coral, you can go to the sea or swim on the main island of Okinawa. There are many beautiful beaches. I recommend Mission Beach, a beautiful beach where you can swim. There is an entrance fee. 🚗 Driving for 1 day, I personally think it is too short to plan a trip. There will be too many driving days. I recommend renting a car for 2-3 days. There will be a parking fee of about 900 yen per night, which should be more enjoyable. 🥪🍣🍤🍚 I just found out that food is expensive. 555555555 I think the cost of living is quite higher than other places in Japan. The cost of food and souvenirs at Don Quijote is not much more. 🚌🚄 There are walking, bus, and train routes. There is only one train line that doesn’t run very far and the price is about the same as the bus. Summer Okinawa Aka Island Edition 𓂃 ✍︎______________________________________📍 Blue Sweets Hanamuro Aka Island can be reached by ferry from the main island of Okinawa. I love this island!! There is a lot of nature and not many people, and above all, the beauty of the sea is really soothing🌿 Most of the islands on this island have private lodgings, but Blue Sweets Hanamuro is a small resort that can only accommodate 3 groups♪ *Facilities There are only 3 rooms, and on the 2nd floor there is a shared pool and 3 bathtubs. This is a cafe bar with a nice atmosphere that opened in 2022 on Zamami Island, and they also sell tacos from a food truck on the premises. The fillings in these tacos are incredibly delicious! It's like well-seasoned chicken, but they grill it after you order, so you can eat hot and delicious tacos. In addition to tacos, they also have nachos and other items. The tacos you take out after the beach and eat with Orion beer are irresistible! I bought more beer because I wanted more. Payment can be made by cash or PayPay. The Ao no Yukurukan visitor center opened in front of Zamami Port in 2022. Inside the facility ・Guidance on Kerama Islands National Park and Zamami Island ・Tourist information counter ・Video exhibit using VR footage to experience the transparency of Kerama's ocean ・Exhibitions introducing a wide variety of living creatures ・Public awareness of rules and manners ・Cafe and rest area serving light meals ・Simple shower (300 yen) The rest area on the second floor is particularly recommended. It's great to be able to take a relaxing break while looking out at the blue Zamami ocean. It's still new, so it's clean. There's also a bus stop here, so there's a ticket machine for bus tickets. Zamami is about 2 hours away from Naha by ferry, or about 1 hour by high-speed boat. Of course, the sea in Naha is beautiful, but the transparency of the sea in Zamami was exceptional. There are plenty of tours for marine activities such as snorkeling and SUP, and at night you can see a magnificent starry sky. Although many people go there for day trips, if you go to Zamami, we recommend staying overnight. If you go to the sea at high tide, you may have a chance to meet sea turtles!! OLrorocamerarara is a remote island enthusiast and ocean lover 🌈 ＼Kerama Skin Diving／ ⁡This time we were taken care of by Marine Factory Okinawa marinefactory_okinawa 🛥 The deciding factor was... ・You can do skin diving (not snorkeling, but skin diving) I wanted to do that! ) ・They'll go to Chibishi even in the afternoon of the day you arrive in Naha ・If you take the skin diving course, the course fee includes the photo shoot ・You can go without a rental car and depart from Naha (meeting place) They fulfilled all of my wishes✨ ⁡There seem to be several meeting places depending on the situation on the day💡 This time, we departed with a total of four groups, including three groups for trial diving and me🛥 You can get the photos they took later💡 ＼Tour fee／ I rented additional long fins, so the course fee was 5,000 yen + fin rental 2,000 yen + boarding fee 5,500 yen = 12,500 I paid in cash after the tour💡 The fee system is a bit complicated, so it might be safer to check beforehand☺️ (Reservation message) I was relieved that they sent me the details in advance via email! ) At first, I was scared of the cold, so I put on a 5mm wetsuit + weights, but I was impressed by how easy it was to dive after taking them off🤣✨ I should have taken them off sooner🥹lol I was advised that "If you can swim without thinking about anything, you can dive longer," and even though I thought I understood, when they told me again, it somehow changed my senses and made it easier to swim🐠 Starfish, clownfish, devilfish?! You can relax and unwind on your vacation 🌟

Affordable and very clean lodging without meals. There are very few places to eat on Aka Island, so if you can manage that, I highly recommend this place. The island itself is small, so it's only a few minutes' walk from the harbor and beach. The garden is beautiful and right in front of your room, so if you like tropical plants, you'll be excited. There were two showers and two toilets, and I was happy that one of the toilets was for women. There was also an outdoor washing area where you could wash off the sand after a dip in the ocean.
