Yinxu Museum

Yinxu Museum is a relatively new museum in Anyang. It houses a portion of the thousands year old ancient oracle bones that Anyang is famous for. The museum showcases photographs and models of early excavations, bronze wares crafted from China's Shang dynasty, short animations of the evolution of the oracle bone inscriptions to the present Mandarin characters and many more exhibits. The entrance fee is a rather hefty 80 RMB. If you understand the Chinese language, I recommend forking out extra for a museum group tour or at the minimum, renting an audio guide. Oracle bone inscription has a long and fascinating history that is worth immersing oneself in for a couple of hours. Nearby, within walking distance, some tombs of significance and the Yinxu ruins can be explored. Getting There - From the high speed railway station Anyang Dong Zhan (安阳东站)，walk 500meters and wait at the street for bus 11 to go to Yinxu museum. The ride takes about 50mins. If you don't wish to wait, call for a cab using the Didi(滴滴车) app. Outside the train station, there will be hustlers getting you to take their cab but you should negotiate the fare.
