[🇵🇪Peru] Encountering Carnival in Arequipa

These are the three biggest carnivals in South America 🎭✨ 🇧🇷 ① Rio Carnival (Brazil) 　📍 Rio de Janeiro 　　　Famous for its samba dance, performed in extravagant costumes, and the world's largest. 🇧🇴 ② Oruro Carnival (Bolivia) 　📍 Oruro 　　　UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. A festival with a strong religious flavor, blending indigenous culture and Catholicism. 🇨🇴 ③ Barranquilla Carnival (Colombia) 　📍 Barranquilla 　　　　A carnival blending Caribbean culture. This is also a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. However, these are not the only places you can encounter carnivals in South America in February! I encountered a carnival in Arequipa. If you're walking down the street and hear drums and loud music, be sure to approach! ✨
