W Bangkok: A Pop of Purple & Plenty of Reasons to Stay! 💜🏨

#summervacay The W Bangkok holds a special place in many hearts, often being fully booked during holidays. Its popularity stems largely from its proximity to the beloved Silom area and its consistently excellent service. I last stayed around this time last year when the lounge was under renovation, and the prices were a bit lower. This recent stay, however, revealed significant changes, especially the addition of more of my favorite color: purple! This alone gives me another reason to choose the W. Why the Purple Touch? I think the hotel was quite clever with its purple makeover. They clearly understand their target audience and know exactly what colors appeal to them most. And for me, purple is also the signature color of my favorite idol, Miriam Yeung (杨千嬅), making it even harder not to love! Beyond the Aesthetics: What I Love Location: As mentioned, it's super convenient. Bangkok traffic can be a nightmare, so being able to walk to the Silom area for fun is a huge plus. Service: I generally find W Hotels to have great service, and this particular W is one of the better ones I've experienced. During my stay, the front desk initially gave me the wrong room card number, so I had to go back down twice. Once the mistake was confirmed, the front desk attendant was incredibly apologetic, which I appreciated. Bonus Vouchers: They even provided drink vouchers, which could be redeemed at the lounge on the first floor or by the pool on the sixth floor.
