It's part of the Universal Beijing Resort, a large entertainment complex developed by Universal Parks & Resorts (a division of NBCUniversal) and local Chinese partners. The park officially opened on September 20, 2021, making it the fifth Universal theme park worldwide and the largest Universal park in Asia.
