Who understands! Live photos can’t capture even one ten-thousandth of the beauty. I’ve organized some personal favorite autumn spots, covering the full period from mid-October to mid-November. Follow the timing and you won’t go wrong～ 🍁 Mid to late October: The first touch of autumn, a gentle beginning • Olympic Forest Park (10.15): The earliest place to feel autumn! The sunflower sea in the South Garden has just withered, and the ginkgo forest takes over with yellow leaves. The sacred tree in Olympic Forest Park is definitely the star! • Wenyu River Park (10.25): Hides a healing sunflower hillside! Large patches of sunflowers spread along the slope, their stalks standing straight, holding round flower heads all facing the sun. Standing in the middle of the slope for photos, even the dress edges are bathed in warm light. When the wind blows, the flower sea sways gently, like a layer of golden silk laid over the earth. • East Section of Ming City Wall Ruins Park (10.29): Framed by ancient buildings, capturing the red and yellow gradient maple leaves 🍁. When the wind blows, the maple leaves sway within the frame, vividly red. 🍂 Early November: Autumn at its peak, forests dyed in layers of color • Rear Lake of Summer Palace & Summer Palace (11.09): Rear Lake has ten times fewer people than Front Hill! The maple leaves on the shore are half yellow, half green. Taking a boat to the middle of the lake, you see the red leaves reflected in the water, like stepping into an ink painting. There are also a few old ginkgo trees beside the main garden’s Long Corridor, adding charm to the ancient architecture. • Chaoyang Park (11.08): An autumn fairy tale in the city! The maple forest beside the big lawn is vividly red, perfect for weekend picnics! • Beijing Forestry University (11.4): Autumn on campus feels so youthful! The ginkgo path beside the library is covered with a “golden carpet.” Students walk by holding books, and every candid shot looks like a scene from a youth movie. 🍃 Mid-November: Late autumn poetry, full of atmosphere • Purple Bamboo Park (11.5): Been many times and still want to go again! The red maples near the East Gate’s “Waiting Moon Pavilion” are the most layered in beauty. The reeds by the lake and the pavilions create a perfect scene. • Beixiaohe Park (11.13): So niche that few people know! The dawn redwood forest by the river stands tall and straight, sunlight makes the trunks glow warmly. Taking a walk at dusk, the sound of crushed fallen leaves is super healing. • Capital Hotel (11.11): A hidden surprise in the city center! There’s a huge ginkgo tree in the courtyard, a top autumn attraction! Random thoughts: Autumn in Beijing is too short. The places I visited last week might have changed colors this week～ So if you see a spot you like, rush there quickly! 🍂
