Just got back from Iceland and wanted to share my group tour experience

Time to write about my trip - Iceland is absolutely stunning!! For previous Europe trips, I always planned everything myself. But Iceland's attractions are quite scattered, and when researching, I found this 6-day tour covered all the places I wanted to visit. Not wanting to drive and for convenience, plus a friend's recommendation, I decisively signed up for the tour! —— 🪐My 6-day tour itinerary: Day 1️⃣: Reykjavik - Blue Lagoon. Spent the whole day relaxing at the Blue Lagoon hot springs. Soaking in the blue geothermal waters🧖‍♀️, applying the special Blue Lagoon mask, and enjoying a signature cocktail🍹 Day 2: Blue Lagoon - Golden Circle (Geysir, Gullfoss waterfall, Thingvellir National Park) - Seljalandsfoss waterfall Day 3: DC-3 plane wreck - Black Sand Beach - Reynisdrangar basalt columns - Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. The glacier truly amazed me! The combination of spectacular basalt formations and black sand beaches, paired with overcast skies, created maximum desolation vibes - total apocalyptic atmosphere! Day 4: Glacier Lagoon - Blue Ice Cave - Selfoss. It was really cold! Must bring gloves, hats, down jackets and windproof clothing. Day 5: Selfoss - Snæfellsnes Peninsula - Reykjavik. Going before sunrise was even more magical - straight out of a cyberpunk sci-fi movie! Day 6: Reykjavik - Whale watching. The moment I saw whales breaching the ocean surface, my heart was pounding for a full minute!! 🪐The guide shared lots of interesting information about Iceland throughout the trip, and the scenery along the way was breathtaking!! 🪐Don't worry about remembering all the attraction names - the guide created a group chat where they'd recap each day's visited spots 🪐The guide would adjust daily itineraries based on conditions, but we didn't miss any must-see attractions - experience was maximized~ 🪐All hotels were 4-star with included breakfast (quite good). Other meals were flexible - Iceland has many specialties (the guide could recommend), and the lamb is delicious! —— 🌊Experience sharing - Clothing tips Must bring thick down jacket (windproof and waterproof); Thermal underwear, gloves, scarf; Highly recommend bringing a hat as some sites are very windy; for ice cave visits you'll need a safety helmet - for better photos you can wear hat + helmet together (if your jacket has built-in hood, it won't fit with the helmet) 🌊My travel arrangement was: Reykjavik → 6-day tour → Reykjavik → Return —— 🗻Since it was a Chinese-speaking tour, most participants were from UK or EU. With only 6 days, there weren't many shopping stops - overall very relaxed and enjoyable The guide said glacier hikes have 80% chance of stormy weather, but we were extremely lucky with sunny days throughout!! 🗻Very fortunate to have chosen this Iceland tour - learned so much more about Iceland Wishing everyone good weather for their trips! Enjoy Iceland!
