Yuelu Academy

#Mainland China Attractions Yuelu Academy is located on the east side of Yuelu Mountain in Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is one of the four major academies in ancient China and was built in the Northern Song Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed Hunan Higher School and is still a subsidiary of Hunan University. It is a rare "thousand-year-old school" in the world. The buildings inside are antique and retain the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
