The entire building clearly shows its historical heritage—who knows, it might have been a former residence of some notable figure. Between the gray bricks and black tiles, the charm of old Chengdu permeates everywhere, while modern luxurious amenities ensure a supremely comfortable stay. The courtyard is tranquil, filled with the aroma of coffee, and the butler service is thoughtful and attentive. Sitting quietly in the quadrangle or on the rooftop, gazing at this vast complex of Qing Dynasty architecture, is an experience I've never had even after multiple visits to Chengdu. Strolling through Kuanzhai Alley in the early morning or at night also revealed to me another side of its vibrant, everyday life.
