Wat Singkham, Saraphi District, Chiang Mai Province

Hello everyone, today I had the opportunity to visit Wat Singkham. I was very lucky that we came during the temple's merit-making period. It was the Kathin robe offering ceremony. I must say that this temple is organized according to the Lanna tradition. Unfortunately, I was so engrossed in visiting the temple that I forgot to take many more pictures. Now, I will tell you a brief history of this temple. I also asked the locals about this. Wat Wang Singkham, according to its history, was originally located on the land where Wat Wang Singkham School is now located. However, it was far from the road and the river, which was inconvenient for transportation. In the past, water transportation was the main mode of transportation. Therefore, the villagers moved the temple to its current location in 1874. Thao Kham Wongsa donated the land to build the temple, which was named "Wang Singkham".
