“Hor Fan”, a Homecooked Fusion restaurant on Phad Sai Road The atmosphere of the restaurant is decorated in Chinese Modern style, combining the classic style of a century-old building with modern details. The name “Hor Fan” comes from Cantonese and means “wide noodles”, which are the main ingredients of the signature menu, Kuay Tiew Lod, using the original recipe of Khun Nat, Chef Pick’s wife. The recipe is passed down with love and care for everyone in the family to enjoy. It can be called the delicious taste of a mother’s cooking. Chef Pick, who has a long experience in the food industry, has taken home memories and cooked them up to be more modern. There are 9 pages to choose from. Each dish stands out with a thick sauce that is carefully simmered, with a distinct and unique flavor. The ingredients are carefully selected, especially the main ingredients that come from Nakhon Pathom Province, a land that the chef defines as the Kitchen of Thailand. The wide noodles are made from real rice flour, with a soft and chewy texture. Special dried shrimps are selected from the chef’s trusted regular shop. One of the dishes that you must not miss is Wagyu Noodle Rolls with Fire, served with a live fire-breathing show at the table. The aroma of the grilled meat wafts through the air, making your mouth water. Another menu that we especially like is the Minced Pork Soup with Plum Soup, a tangy soup with a full flavor of sour, sweet, salty, and spicy. Next up is the creative menu, Hor Fun Pizza, a pizza with large, crispy noodles and smoked roast duck, inspired by Peking duck. The chef deep-fries the large noodles until the skin is perfectly crispy, spreads with a rich hoisin sauce, and then places specially selected roast duck from Yaowarat on top. Served with a special pickled vegetable, it cuts the richness and adds flavor, making it a dish that is both cool and delicious. Or try the Caprese Gana Chai, an appetizer that breaks the tradition of the Caprese Salad. The chef combines mozzarella and tomatoes with “gana chai,” creating a new flavor that is incredibly refreshing, fragrant, rich, and well-rounded.
