#summervacay For my five-night stay in Da Nang, I decided to experience two distinct hotel styles and locations. After three nights at the city-adjacent Voco Ma Belle by IHG on My Khe Beach, I moved south towards Hoi An for a stay at the more secluded Danang Marriott Resort & Spa. Here's my detailed take on the latter: A True Resort Oasis for Relaxation The Marriott truly embodies a resort feel. It's nestled right by the beach and boasts expansive grounds, featuring five beautifully landscaped swimming pools. These, combined with the poolside bars and the almost deserted beach, create an incredibly relaxing atmosphere perfect for unwinding. It's the ideal place to simply "lie flat" and enjoy your vacation. Room Experience & Key Tips The rooms and bathrooms are generously sized, and the bed was very comfortable. However, perhaps due to its earlier construction, the decor shows a bit of age. The room door sometimes required a bit of force to open, and the safe occasionally needed a few tries to unlock. Soundproofing was average; I could distinctly hear my neighbor's iPhone alarm, which sounded exactly like mine! Also, the room windows are relatively small, which is a pity given the beautiful scenery outside. On my first night, I was assigned a "sea view room" on the third floor , but 99% of the view was blocked by trees. I spoke with the front desk the next morning, and they kindly moved me to a first-floor room, specifically room 10x, which was right by the sea.
