Wandering through the winding alleyways of Shuanglang Ancient Town, surprises seem to wait at every turn — a hanging flower basket, a splash of sunlight on stone walls, a cat basking by the doorway. I found a seaside café, sat down with a signature drink, and watched the sun slowly dip into the lake. Out of nowhere, a wave of emotion hit me — I almost cried. Four years ago, I came here right after my college entrance exams — excited, energetic, and armed with a detailed itinerary, checking off every stop like a mission. But this time, I wandered without a plan — escaping work, letting go of pressure, and soaking in that rare feeling of calm. And I realized — I’ve grown.
