What did I eat and drink in Dali Old Town?

Here are some recommended places to go in Dali Old Town for solo travelers: 1️⃣ Xilin Garden · Yincang Restaurant (p2~4) After having coffee at Longwu next door, the staff mentioned that the restaurant next door and the guesthouse upstairs are all part of the same family. The whole Yincang Courtyard is very peaceful and comfortable, so I chose to eat the Black Fungus Mixed Rice at the restaurant next door. It was a very delicate meal for one, and the portion was quite large. I really love black fungus, and the chili sauce was also very good with rice 🌶️ 2️⃣ Xinmin Canteen (p5,6) I found a recommended solo restaurant in the Old Town. The price was very friendly for solo travelers. I ordered Yunnan-style cold rice noodles, lemon chicken feet, and Dai-style pounded poached egg. I love Dai cuisine so much! I love the fresh and spicy taste of Dai food. The poached egg with rice noodles was absolutely amazing. It's really comfortable to eat alone during the off-season. 3️⃣ Encounter Rooftop Trendy Cafe (p7,8) Since it's for tourists, it's a must-visit spot in the Old Town. Going up to the third floor, it was indeed... Some of the setups are perfect for taking photos. Even alone, you don't need to worry about not getting good shots. There are professional photographers and various props, plus the natural backdrop of Cangshan Mountain and strong sunlight as embellishments—every photo is guaranteed to be beautiful. There's also coffee and desserts on the second floor for a relaxing break. 🍰 4️⃣ Restart Coffee Courtyard (pp. 9-12) I stumbled upon this little courtyard while wandering around. It's incredibly peaceful and comfortable. The four-story design allows for ample sunlight from the second floor upwards. I ordered a salted lemon soda; the cup was really beautiful. There's even a private space for one person in the courtyard—very thoughtful! Happy sunbathing everyone! 🌞
