This shrine is particularly noteworthy as it's the main shrine of the god of education and the arts (Tenjin). Whether you're planning to take university entrance exams, certificate exams, or simply want to get good grades, this is a must-visit place! Pet the head of a cow. There are several Shingyu (cow statues) on the shrine grounds. It's believed that patting the head of a cow will make you smarter and help you pass your exams (feel free to pat them!). Buy a wooden plaque and write your academic wishes on it, then hang it up. See the plum blossoms here. There are over 6,000 plum trees! If you visit between late January and early March, you'll be mesmerized by the fragrant pink and white plum blossoms, just like the cherry blossoms! Omotesando (Shrine Walking Street) is a paradise for foodies and content creators! The road leading to this shrine is a hub of deliciousness. Enjoy these freshly grilled mochi filled with sweet red beans, adorned with the shrine's iconic plum blossom design! Enjoy them freshly grilled, warm, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Absolutely heavenly (and incredibly affordable!). Starbucks Dazaifu Tenmangu Omotesando is more than just a coffee shop, it's also a world-class architectural masterpiece designed by Kengo Kuma. The walls are made from thousands of logs woven together to create a truly innovative structure! Take cool photos from any angle, even without entering the store! For other sweets, there are shops selling traditional Japanese sweets (Wagashi), unique ice cream flavors, and cute souvenirs along the way. Getting there: From Nishitetsu-Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station, take the Nishitetsu train to Dazaifu Station. It's a short ride (about 30 minutes).
