I didn't do any research in advance. This was a spontaneous 3-day, 2-night trip. I can only say that I was very lucky. I didn't have any bad experiences and had a great time. Plus, because I booked the hotel in advance, the entire trip cost only approx. CNY 500/day per person. I was very satisfied with the trip. Itinerary: DAY 1 Arrive in Deqing around noon → Moganshan Scenic Area (fresh air) → Feed pigeons at Yucun Square → Eat farmhouse cuisine DAY 2 Wake up naturally → Sunparks Water Park → Experience massage and spa in Deqing city center → Dine at the hotel DAY 3 Take photos at the rooftop pool of the hotel (ins-worthy photos) → Hike and explore Xiantan → Return trip (arrive in Shanghai around 3pm) High-speed rail travel There are direct high-speed trains from Shanghai to Deqing. The ticket price is between CNY 80–90. Accommodation: Grand New Century Hotel Jiayi Deqing Activities: Sunparks Water Park, Yucun, Xiantan, Deqing city center Transportation: Mostly by taxi. It is recommended to use a ride-hailing app and occasionally walk. If you have a limited budget, it is recommended to buy a bus ticket from the tourist center, which goes directly to the scenic area. Food: Fish head tofu casserole, local chicken soup (recommended: Lakeside Water Restaurant), lard rice (recommended: Lan Ting Republic of China Restaurant), braised pork with dried bamboo shoots, broad beans, snails, baked wheaten cake, tea cakes
