When it comes to traveling to Sichuan, Chengdu must be a popular choice, but if you are already in Yantai, you can actually easily arrange a niche route of "Chengdu Hydraulic Engineering + Panda Ecology"! I sincerely recommend two must-visit photo spots on this trip: the world-class hydraulic project Dujiangyan, and the healing Chengdu Panda Base, where you can see flowers and various cute pandas 🐼 up close! Whether you want to explore historical buildings, feel the wonders of nature, or take pictures of cute animals, this line can satisfy you! Dujiangyan: a thousand-year hydraulic miracle 📍Location: Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province The Dujiangyan hydraulic project has a history of more than 2,000 years. Legend has it that Li Bing and his father and son cleverly used the terrain to build projects such as the water-dividing fish mouth and flying sand weir, which both prevent floods and irrigate, and still play a role today. Walking into the scenic area, you can see the magnificent Fenshui Weir, Anlan Cable Bridge, Fulong Temple and other historical monuments. Many tourists choose to take a relaxing walk along the moat, enjoying the snow-capped mountains and virgin forests along the way, which is very relaxing. Remember to go in the morning or evening less crowded, good photos will not be crowded! Trip tip: When visiting Dujiangyan, you might as well ask an instructor to hear the story of hydraulic wisdom behind it. Chengdu Panda Base: The home of Huahua 📍Location: No. 1375 Panda Avenue, Chenghua District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province 🏠 Opening hours: 7:30-18:00 (most recommended to go between 8:30-10:30, Giant Panda activity time is the most!) Coming to Chengdu without seeing pandas is equivalent to not being here, especially the panda base is simply a paradise for giant panda control. The park is divided into different exhibition areas, in addition to flowers, there are also various giant pandas, juvenile pandas and a small number of red pandas cute and lively. There is also a panda science museum to introduce conservation knowledge, suitable for parents and students to visit. Remember to bring a telescope or telephoto camera, pandas love to be in a daze in the distance. Trip tips: panda base early crowd less people, pandas after getting up love activities and eat breakfast, the best viewing time; after noon pandas mostly nap lazy, less dynamic screen. Transportation guide from Yantai If you are departing from Yantai: It is recommended to fly to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport first, then transfer to the subway or high-speed rail directly to Dujiangyan (about 1 hour), or take a taxi from the city to Panda Base (about half an hour). Food recommendations Must-try Chengdu specialty snacks: fat intestine, rabbit head, dan dan noodles, sugar and oil fruit, there are many old-fashioned Sichuan restaurants near the panda base, a must-have for those who like authentic spicy taste! Practical tips 1. The scenic spot is less crowded in the morning, especially the panda base, buying tickets is the most convenient to use trip.com to book online in advance. 2. Beverage vending machines and light meals are available at the panda base, and a convenient bistro nearby to replenish energy. 3. Remember to prepare sunscreen hat and rain gear, Chengdu weather is changeable. This trip sincerely feels: Dujiangyan's ancient artificial intelligence makes me admire, the panda base's "flower" adorable scene! It's great for taking pictures and checking in. Not only children, but adults are also happy and satisfied #Chengdu Must-Photo #Dujiangyan #Panda Flower #Yantai Departure #Sichuan Free Trip
