Fleetwood Boat Wrecks

#europeonbudget Boat Graveyard on the banks of the River Wyre at Fleetwood, Lancashire, England. The boats in the graveyard are mostly all Fleetwood Trawlers left over from the Cod Wars of the 1970’s when the ships owners were paid to scrap them by the government. They’ve laid here for about 50 years, undisturbed apart from the odd visitor. Access is best gained from the left side looking at the abandoned vessels when standing on the towpath. All other routes are more difficult. Walking boots or Wellies are recommended. But great place to walk out to. Not far from the nature reserve, where parking as ample and located 500yards walk from here. These rotting ships have been left over from the apparent cod wars -
