The Collegiate Church of Saints Quirico and Giulitta in San Quirico d'Orcia

The Collegiate Church of Saints Quirico and Giulitta in San Quirico d'Orcia is a unique example of Tuscan religious architecture dating back to the 8th century. The current building was constructed between the 12th and 13th centuries, featuring a Romanesque facade and a Lombard-style main entrance decorated with knotted columns and symbolic reliefs. The 13th-century works include side doors attributed to Giovanni Pisano, and in the 18th century, the church was renovated in Baroque style, with the addition of Antonio Barili's choir stalls. Inside, there is an altarpiece by Sano di Pietro, frescoes by Girolamo di Benvenuto, and a 17th-century organ. Though small, it retains historical and artistic value as a symbol of faith and beauty.
