Jingdezhen Yaoli Ancient Town and Taoyangli Imperial Kiln Museum Self-Drive Tour

During the Dragon Boat Festival, we drove from Wuhan to Jingdezhen, which took about 3.5 hours. The entire route was on well-maintained highways. Our first stop was Yaoli Ancient Town, featuring small bridges over flowing water, horse-head walls, and ancient ancestral halls—a quintessential Jiangnan water town. After the rain, Yaoli resembled the scene described in Jay Chou's song "Blue and White Porcelain": "Sky blue awaits the misty rain..."—absolutely breathtaking! Jingdezhen has a rich ceramic culture. We visited Taoxichuan and the Imperial Kiln Museum. Taoxichuan is a massive cultural and creative industrial park with numerous stalls selling exquisite ceramics and pottery crafts. It's a paradise for market lovers—you could easily spend a whole day there! The Imperial Kiln Museum is located within Taoyangli, where you'll find charming ancient alleys and creative shops, making it perfect for photos and exploration. I traveled with my child, and it was a great experience—kids can enjoy both natural scenery and learn about ceramic art. Jingdezhen is highly suitable for family trips. Highly recommended!
