Fuzhou Guling｜Super Friendly Parent-Child Hiking Route

🏡 If you are staying near Liusanwang Park, next to McDonald's at Yixia Farmers' Market, there is a trail leading to Keping Reservoir. The farmers' market has convenience stores and fruit shops where you can buy supplies. 🌲 The specific route is as follows: Head towards Keping Reservoir (use your phone navigation to directly locate "Keping Reservoir"). From the farmers' market, take the left fork and keep going. If you see a fork leading to Yuanyang Valley Scenic Area, don’t take it (you can take a detour if you have time, it takes about ten minutes to circle back). Keep going until the end—make sure you go all the way to the end. Follow the navigation, and in less than ten minutes, you will see a small parking lot. From here, go down the stairs (stairs similar to P10, with signposts). Keping Reservoir is currently closed off and you can’t go down, but you can take photos from above (P3). Then follow the signs to Changtian Creek Walkway, then to Yingyue Lake Park, then to Xiaguai Boardwalk. Exit through the wooden gate at Changtian Creek Flower Field to finish the hike. This gate is near the Shanyu Art Garden Homestay. 🪷 This route is covered by about 70% shade, with abundant streams that are shallow and clean. I took my four-year-old child alone, moving at a leisurely pace. Including time for the child to play in the water and for adults to take photos, it takes at least two hours. ⚠️ Bring your own food and drinks, and be sure to protect yourself from sun and insects. There are about three public restrooms along this route. Many kids play in the water, but the stream is long enough that it doesn’t get crowded O(∩_∩)O 🦌 Don’t be afraid of getting lost. Even if you take a wrong turn, you can just circle back, and you might discover some different scenery. Today was another sweat-drenched trip, but the temperature in Guling is magical—hot but not stuffy, sunny but not harmful. There’s always a cool breeze in the shade, making it a very comfortable summer that I can really enjoy, hahaha ╭(╯ε╰)╮
