Itinerary Record 🚆 Transportation 07:32–08:56 Take RB6 from Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen (GP). ⚠️ Note: This train splits into two; make sure your carriage is heading to GP. 09:15–09:40 Transfer to the cogwheel train to Eibsee. → Purchase the "Round Trip to Top" package at the station, €75 per person. 09:45–09:55 Take the Eibsee cable car directly to the Zugspitze summit observation deck. 🏔️ Summit Activities 12:00–13:00 Enjoy lunch and coffee at the summit restaurant PANORAMA 2962. The view is magnificent, with the Alps stretching out before you. 13:15–13:19 Take the glacier cable car down to the glacier platform for a close-up experience of the snowy world. 14:35–14:40 Take the glacier cable car back to the Zugspitze observation deck to prepare for descent. 🚡 Descent and Lake View 14:45–15:00 Take the cable car down from the Zugspitze observation deck to Eibsee. 15:00–15:07 Take photos by Eibsee Lake. The emerald green water, paired with the snowy mountain backdrop, is postcard-perfect. 15:15 Take the cogwheel train back to GP. 16:05–17:27 Take RB6 back to Munich, concluding a perfect day trip. Tips 💡 The earlier you start, the better: fewer people in the morning, making it easier to take photos. Photo angles: On the way up, stand on the right side of the cable car station for lake views; on the way down, stand on the left. Gear: Ice cleats or anti-slip shoes are recommended, but not mandatory. At least wear something with good grip. Summary Zugspitze is truly a must-visit!
