Ningxia Qinghai Route Day 3｜Breaking into the Blue Tears of Qinghai Lake

Early morning train arrives in Xining, officially starting the Qinghai segment of the journey! 8:30 pick up the car and set off, driving all the way to Qinghai Lake The clouds hang low along the way, as if you could reach out and touch them ☁️ Completely different from the vastness of Ningxia, my mood was instantly healed～ When picking up the car, the staff reminded us of recent heavy rains causing geological disasters My heart skipped a beat at that moment… but the fact proved! Travel really depends on luck—we even encountered sunny weather, and the lake was as blue as a gem 💎 📍First stop: Qinghai Lake Rapeseed Flower Sea (not the Erlangjian Scenic Area) ▪️Avoid the commercialized Erlangjian, drive 10 km east ▪️Large rapeseed flower fields still in September, belonging to different herders ▪️You can hold a lamb for photos 📸 10 RMB/person, the flower fields are beyond amazing! 📍Second stop: Heima River (highly recommended!) ▪️Newly developed scenic area, fewer people and direct access to the lakeside ▪️There are prayer flags and photo installations by the lake, full of atmosphere ▪️Be sure to bring a jacket! The wind is strong and altitude sickness is easy, some friends got headaches from the wind 😭 📍Third stop: Garila Monastery (secret spot for check-in) ▪️A temple on a cliff, with meadows + prayer flags + Qinghai Lake as the background ▪️Few people and beautiful scenery, perfect for group photos, the mood is amazing 🏡 Overnight stay at [Qinghai Lake Fudi Shengshui Lake View Homestay] ▪️Open the window to see Qinghai Lake, you can watch the sunrise from the room in the morning ▪️Simple accommodation, but the owner recommends off-the-beaten-path spots ▪️You can ride a horse to the back mountain to overlook the lake view (advance reservation required) ▪️Highlight! That night we saw the Milky Way with the naked eye 🌌 Clearer than the night in the desert, stunning beyond words! 🌟Day 3 Summary: · Weather at Qinghai Lake is changeable, the difference between sunny and cloudy days is huge · Heima River is more worth visiting than Erlangjian · Garila Monastery is niche but photogenic · The lakeside wind is strong, be sure to keep warm · This homestay is excellent for viewing the Milky Way!
