I highly recommend this itinerary with its striking contrasts! 🏰Day 1: Guiyang → Qingyan Ancient Town (Military Enthusiast's Delight) 📍Address: Qingyan Town, Huaxi District, Guiyang City (40-minute drive from downtown) ⏰Opening Hours: 8:10 AM - 10:00 PM 🎫Admission: 10 RMB (Such a great deal!) ▪️Climb the 5-meter-high ancient city wall to understand what "one man guarding the pass" truly means. ▪️The stone slab paths of the Back Street tell stories of Ming Dynasty garrisons. ▪️You must try Qingyan pig trotters! The braised, chewy texture is absolutely divine. ▪️Hidden gem: Look for the remaining bullet holes on Cross Street. If you want to capture the entire city wall, it's best to arrive before 12 PM, as the afternoon sun creates strong backlighting! We stayed until sunset, and the ancient town lit up with lanterns was incredibly photogenic~ 🌊Day 2: Guiyang → Zhenyuan Ancient Town (Mountain and Water Scroll Adventure) 🚌Transportation: Take train K937 from Guiyang Station (3.5 hours direct) ▪️The Qinglong Cave Ancient Architectural Complex hangs over the Wuyang River. ▪️The Crooked Doors and Evil Paths Alley hides many artistic cafes. ▪️Remember to bring a jacket for a night cruise on the Wuyang River! The river breeze is quite cool. ▪️I highly recommend the sour fish soup by the river; the sour, spicy, and fresh flavors are a triple delight. The most pleasant surprise in Zhenyuan was the free observation deck! Navigate to "Shiping Mountain Hiking Trail," climb to the top in 20 minutes, and get a panoramic view of the entire Tai Chi-shaped ancient town (remember to wear non-slip shoes!) 【Hiking Tips】 1️⃣Both ancient towns require a lot of walking! A pair of Warrior shoes is more reliable than white sneakers. 2️⃣Qingyan's rose candy/Zhenyuan's preserved vegetable with minced meat are perfect souvenirs. 3️⃣For Guiyang to Zhenyuan, it's recommended to take an early train, and the latest return is 8:30 PM.
