You’re not just hiking, you’re basically ascending into the clouds like some mountain monk-in-training. The trail? A bit of a butt-kicker depending on where you start (I went from Jungsanri, spicy choice). But it’s got everything: stone steps that never end, misty forest scenes that look like a Ghibli film, and views that honestly don’t feel real once you finally summit. At the top, it’s windy, cold, and totally magical. You feel tiny in the best way. That “I made it” moment? Chef’s kiss. Bring layers, snacks, and a solid playlist, or maybe just soak up the sounds of wind and your own dramatic breathing. Hard? Yes. Regret it? Not for a second. Cheonwangbong hits different. Like, sore legs + soul cleanse combo deal. 12/10 would summit again (after a nap).
