Shamsingbong + Cheonghakdong

#summervacay Took a random trip out to Shamsingbong and Cheonghakdong and… wow. Total reset for the soul. Shamsingbong isn’t super well-known, but the hike? Absolutely gorgeous. Not too intense, just enough to make you feel like you earned your views. Trees everywhere, birds doing their thing, it’s that perfect kind of quiet. At the top, the view hits different. Rolling green mountains, fresh air, and that peaceful “dang, I needed this” feeling. Then I wandered into Cheonghakdong, which lowkey feels like stepping into a different world. It’s got this calm, almost mystical vibe, traditional houses, people living simply, and just this deep sense of stillness. No flashy tourist stuff, just nature and tradition living side by side. Grabbed a simple meal from a little local spot (think mountain veggies and rice) and it was chef’s kiss. Everything felt slower, softer, real. If you want a break from everything and a glimpse into a quieter world, this place delivers. Totally recommend.
