Hakodate is packed with retro, nature, history and gourmet food. Compared to the city center, the average temperature is lower, making Hakodate perfect for a summer getaway. It would be a shame to just see the night view! It was a wonderful place that I want to go back to. ✨ From Tokyo Station, take the Hokkaido Shinkansen to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station in about 4 hours. To get to the tourist spots in Hakodate City, take the JR Hakodate Main Line to Hakodate Station in about 20 minutes. Walking around the former British Consulate, the former Hakodate Ward Public Hall, and Hachimanzaka, which exudes an exotic atmosphere, is somehow nostalgic and feels like a movie world. After shopping at the Kanamori Red Brick Warehouse, you can enjoy a local burger at the nearby Lucky Pierrot Bay Area Main Store. There are many things to see at the Hakodate City Museum of Northern Peoples, where you can experience history, and Goryokaku Park. The view from Goryokaku Tower, which offers a panoramic view of the impressive star-shaped Goryokaku, was also amazing.
