GOA Elephant Design! A Valley Manor Hotel Hidden by Xianghu Lake in Hangzhou

Hangzhou Xianghu Liberty Manor XIANGHU LIBERTY MANOR Xianghu Liberty Manor is located on Yuewang Road in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, situated in the core area of Xianghu National Tourism Resort. It faces the vast blue waters of Xianghu Lake to the east, overlooks the lush and continuous General Mountain to the south, and neighbors historical sites such as the Yuewang City Ruins, Kuahu Bridge Museum, and Xia Sun Cultural Village. Driving from downtown Hangzhou, the bustling city gradually fades away, replaced by a tranquil landscape of lakes and mountains. It is about 5 kilometers from Xianghu Metro Station and 28 kilometers from Xiaoshan International Airport, with convenient transportation. Jointly created by GOA Elephant Design and MOD Design, the project centers on the concept of "weak architecture, strong landscape," humbly embedding the buildings into the valley’s texture. The design follows the terrain with a 30-meter elevation difference, using tiered volumes, natural-toned facades, and green roofs to make the architecture appear as if naturally growing among the hills. Public areas are scattered among mountain hollows, waterfalls, and vegetation, with a theme of "nature + art," making visitors feel as if they have stepped into an immersive drama. The manor offers a total of 156 rooms and suites, each starting at 45 square meters, with even the basic room types being spacious. Rooms are decorated mainly in light gray and dark brown, complemented by colorful decorations inspired by Yue Opera cloud shoulder patterns, creating a warm atmosphere of "light natural colors." All rooms come standard with Nespresso capsule coffee machines and JBL wireless charging Bluetooth speakers. Most rooms also feature outdoor balconies overlooking the blue waters of Xianghu Lake or the silhouette of General Mountain. "Shiguang" All-day Dining: Offers a buffet breakfast combining Chinese and Western styles and international cuisine in a modern and bright atmosphere. "Xiangying" Themed Restaurant: More like an art space, the chef team specializes in Mediterranean and Western dishes, with each dish crafted as a work of art.
