It originally housed three legal institutions: the Central Police Station, the Central Magistrates' Office, and the Talisman Prison. Reopened in 2018 as the Heritage & Arts Centre, it is the symbolic facility of a project aimed at integrating the restoration of historic architecture with contemporary spaces for expression. Tai Kwun includes a total of 16 historic buildings and two outdoor spaces, dotted with exhibition spaces, theater and music venues, dining options, and shops. --- Attractions and What to Do Experience a "walk" through history: Inside, you'll find spaces that evoke their former functions, such as small jail cells, courtrooms, and former police stations. Walking through the area gives you a sense of the connection between past and present.
