Rare volcano knowledge exhibition

Once upon a time (about 140 million years ago), Hong Kong was a volcanic area, but it was a long time ago and there are no volcanoes in Hong Kong now. If you want to learn about Hong Kong’s past volcanic history, you need to go to the Science Museum or the Volcano Discovery Centre. The Volcano Discovery Centre is located in Sai Kung and can be seen when you get off the bus at Sai Kung Bus Station. The Volcano Discovery Centre displays different volcanic rock fragments and volcanic remains, and also displays the locations of Hong Kong’s old volcanoes, providing the most comprehensive and interesting volcanic knowledge to the public. Together with the Hong Kong Science Museum, it has become the only volcano knowledge school in Hong Kong.
