Autumn Viewing in Southern Anhui｜Four Days and Three Nights Tour in Anhui

🌿DAY 1: Shenzhen → Huangshan North Station → Chengkan 🚄Transportation: High-speed train 8:59-15:09 🚗After exiting the station, take a taxi for about 20 minutes to reach Chengkan (tickets are required even if staying in the village) 🏡Upon entering Chengkan, a few chicks stroll along the stone-paved road in the mist, instantly feeling like stepping into an ink painting from a Chinese language textbook～ 🎇At 5 PM, when we went to Yongxing Lake to watch the fish lantern parade, the Shaqiu Square was already packed with people. We decisively chose the right side of Yongxing Lake (facing Shaqiu Square). This spot not only allows you to capture the fish lanterns crossing the bridge with fireworks in the same frame 📸, but also has relatively fewer people～ ✨: · The parade now starts around 17:38. To photograph the front of the fish lanterns with fireworks, you need to arrive early and wait in the front row at the starting point, Shaqiu Square · The fish lantern parade time may vary seasonally 🌾DAY 2: Chengkan → Hongcun 🚗Transportation: Taxi ride about 1.5 hours (including traffic jams) 🏘In the morning, we strolled around Chengkan for about 2-3 hours following the map. After finishing, the homestay owner helped send our luggage to the main gate parking lot, and we took a taxi directly to Hongcun (tickets are also required to stay in the village, valid for 3 days)～ 🍂In the afternoon, we walked along the direction of Tachuan outside Hongcun’s south gate. The golden rice fields along the way were super healing! We stopped at the "Wujiao Jiu Cultural and Aesthetic Space" to rest. The environment was beautiful, but it was a bit crowded; visiting in the off-season should be more chill～ 🏮At night, the Hongcun fish lantern parade (now every Friday and Saturday at 18:30 starting from Nanhu Academy) was very lively. After watching the fish lanterns cross the painting bridge, we headed straight to Moon Pond to stake out a spot. It was very crowded and festive. ✨: · There is almost no food at the Chengkan main gate parking lot, so it’s recommended to eat something while wandering in the village at noon · The fireworks spot for the Hongcun fish lantern parade is on the left side of the painting bridge (facing Nanhu Academy). To photograph fish lanterns with fireworks, you should stand on the right side of the painting bridge opposite the academy (we stood in the wrong spot hh) 🌅DAY 3: Lucun Sunrise → Tachuan Academy → Xidi 🚗Transportation: Tricycle + DIDI 🌄The sunrise is now around 7 AM. We took a tricycle from Hongcun West Gate 2 at 6 AM to Lucun viewing platform (the road was very congested! The driver took a shortcut and dropped us near Hongru Inn, then we walked up the mountain). The viewing platform was already full of people, but there were good spots below the platform. The sunrise illuminating the village was stunning! 💤After a nap, we took a taxi to Tachuan Academy · Creekside Café (free admission). Enter from the right path; the piano under the trees creates a great atmosphere～ After taking photos and resting, we took a taxi to Xidi (departing from the Hongcun bus station again). 🏡Although Xidi is somewhat commercialized, the ancient charm of the old houses remains. With the guided tour, you’ll find every brick and tile has its own story [Guided tours are free (need 20 people or wait 20 minutes) or paid]. ✨: · For sunrise viewing, it’s recommended to book the tricycle in advance (you can get the driver’s phone number the day before). We almost couldn’t get a ride that day but luckily met a returning driver (and this driver only accepts cash 💴) · It’s also recommended to book a DIDI in advance for the trip from Xidi back to Hongcun 🎁DAY 4: Hongcun → Yixian East Station → Shenzhen In the morning, stroll around Hongcun and buy souvenirs～ Return to Shenzhen in the afternoon!
